Top Five NBA Performances Of The Week (Mar. 24th – Apr. 1st)

How would you rank these NBA performances in order?

For the first time, I take a look at five of the top performances in the NBA this past week.

Given the number of impressive displays this week, it was tricky to narrow it down to five. However, with a great deal of luck, I did:

Jordan Poole Vs Miami Heat

Without Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Stephen Curry, Jordan Poole was asked to step up massively and produced arguably the best display of his career.

Poole had his 10th straight game of 20 or more points, and scored 30 against the Heat. This was despite Erik Spoelstra throwing double teams at the third-year man whenever he had the chance.

Poole scored inside & out, boasting an impressive 55.6% shooting percentage from the field, and also amassed nine assists. The undermanned Warriors stepped up big time against the Heat and an earned a much needed win.

Tyrese Maxey Vs Miami

No James Harden, no Joel Embiid, no problem for Tyrese Maxey. The former Kentucky guard had the opportunity to lead the Sixers and did so with authority.

The Sixers shook off an early six-point deficit and took a two-point lead heading into the fourth, and went on a 7-0 run late in the game. Philadelphia inspired by 13 points in the fourth from Maxey claimed a superb win.

The second-year man finished with an impressive haul of 28 points, five rebounds, four assists on 60% shooting, despite the absence of the two top-scoring options.

Kevin Durant Vs Utah

Although this could have easily been Durant’s display against Memphis, I settled for his display against Utah due to the circumstances.

No Kyrie Irving at home meant the game came down to what Durant could do, and needless to say the future Hall of Famer didn’t disappoint.

Durant powered the Nets to a crucial victory as the race for an automatic playoff spot heats up. The former Warriors superstar went for 37 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists on 65.2% shooting from the field against the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference.

LeBron James Vs Cleveland

LeBron James back in Cleveland was once again the star of the show. Stop me if you have heard that story before.

James has shone against the Cavs throughout his career, boasting a 17-1 record against his former team. For a struggling Lakers team, LeBron needs to be at the peak of his powers every single night and he was so against Cleveland.

In 40 minutes of play, LeBron had 38 points, ten rebounds, and 12 assists on 58.6% shooting from the field. An absolute masterclass in every sense of the world.

Devin Booker Vs Nuggets

The Suns were able to lock up the number one seed against Denver and was largely thanks to the effort of Devin Booker.

Booker surpassed his season-high of 48 against the Spurs in January and produced a well-rounded display against a Nuggets team, who entered as winners of three of their last five.

In 38 minutes of play, the former Kentucky star had 49 points, four rebounds, 10 assists, shot 64% from the field and boasted a +16 when on the floor.
