Player Props

I have two player prop bets that I am really excited to place a bet on. I looked at a number of players and their odds to find the ones that would be the most profitable while also feeling like a no-brainer. Of the bets available, these player props would be the ones I would lay my money on.

Patrick Mahomes – Over 4500 Passing Yards -112

This prop is the biggest lock on the board by far. Since becoming the full-time starter in 2018, Patrick Mahomes has dipped below 4500 yards just one time and that was in 2019 when he dislocated his knee cap. Other than that outlier, Mahomes has had 4700+ yards in his three other seasons as a starter and that does not appear to be in danger of changing as long as Andy Reid is in the house. Mahomes has a re-tooled receiver room and still has Kelce to throw to, snag the over while you can.

Aidan Hutchinson – Defensive Rookie of the Year +500

The number two overall pick from the 2022 NFL Draft, Aidan Hutchinson, is favored to take the hardware home, and for good reason. When the Detroit Lions selected Hutchinson out of Michigan, they were drafting what most experts thought was the very best player in the entire draft.

Since 2010, seven defensive linemen or edge rushers have taken the hardware, including the Bosa brothers, Aaron Donald, and Chase Young. Aidan Hutchinson is positioned to be the star of the Detroit defense for a long time and it starts with a dominant rookie campaign. The fact that the Lions are playing a last-place schedule helps his case even more. There may not be a better award prop bet available.

Team Prop Bets

Tennessee Titans Regular Season Wins – Over 9.5 +120

The Titans at plus money is a steal for this prop. The Titans play in potentially the easiest division in all of football. With four games against the rebuilding Jaguars and Texans, it nearly brings you halfway to the win total you would need. Add in games against the Giants and Commanders and you have six very achievable wins. You may be thinking, “But what if Derrick Henry gets injured again?” Well, if you recall, the Titans did not have Henry down the stretch last year and were able to win six of nine games – including games against the Rams and 49ers – and secure the one seed in the AFC. Winning ten games should be a breeze for the Titans.

San Francisco 49ers Regular Season Wins – Under 9.5 +125

The 49ers at 9.5 wins this season is a bit generous to the team considering the state of the QB situation. The ongoing QB situation is in a bit of a limbo, with reports suggesting that Jimmy G may be traded, it remains to be seen if Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch will pull the trigger. Whether or not Trey Lance or Jimmy Garoppolo starts for the team, their schedule is a difficult one. They will be playing the entire AFC West, the Buccaneers, The Rams twice, and the Cardinals twice.

With games against Mahomes, Brady, Herbert, Wilson, Stafford, and Murray, the 49ers have their work cut out for them if they want to return to win ten games, let alone return to the playoffs. Take this bet and double down on them not making the playoffs if you can.

Ravens Win The AFC North +160

For this final prop, I take you to the AFC North as a whole where the Baltimore Ravens are favored to reclaim the title of Division Champs. With their odds being in plus territory, I am all over it. The Ravens are returning a healthy Lamar Jackson for 2022 along with Marcus Peters, JK Dobbins, Marlon Humphrey, and Ronnie Stanley, among others.

The Browns well-documented QB situation cuts them out of contention, and since Big Ben retired, the Steelers are also not the threat they once were. This leaves the Bengals who will now be playing a first-place schedule. I think a lot of the Bengals success last year can be attributed to the injuries the Ravens sustained throughout the season last year, but don’t rule the Bengals out for a playoff appearance. However, I wouldn’t bet on any other team taking the AFC North besides Baltimore. The Ravens will be back in 2022, lock it in.
