The Gabon international is no newbie to the intensity of the premier league having spent the earlier days in England with Chelsea’s direct rivals Arsenal. He joined the North London side in the summer of 2018 for a club record 60 million euros scoring 82 goals in all competitions for the London outfit across his four-year tenure with the club while also lifting two trophies in that span.

Aubameyang is delighted to reunite with his previous manager after both parties formed a formidable bond during their days back in Germany making Borussia Dortmund dominant across Europe. He scored 79 goals in two seasons for the red and yellows and also beating Robert Lewandoski to the German golden boot in 2018.

Tuchel who had been a long admirer of the player finally had his wish granted by The new American owner Todd Boehly as he grants Aubameyang’s signature and also secured the signing of Denis Zakaria to bolster the team’s midfield options.

The Swiss midfielder, 25, who signed for Juventus in January joins the Blues on loan. Explosive, dynamic, and gifted with a highly-tuned tactical awareness, Denis looks set to strive under Thomas Tuchel after previously struggling with the tactical adjustments of Max Allegri.

Chelsea Trim Squad To Accomodate New Signings

Their arrival comes a day Chelsea have had their busiest day in the just concluded transfer window.

Billy Gilmour completed a permanent move to Brighton and Kenedy returned to La Liga to join Spanish Side, Valladolid, as Chelsea continued their unwanted member’s overhaul which included Romelu Lukaku’s loan, Timo Werner’s sale, and Marcos Alonso’s swap for their new number nine.

Heavy touted Wales international midfielder Ethan Ampadu has departed the London side returning to Italy after completing a season-long loan to Spezia until the end of the season.

Another highly rated youngster Xavier Mbuyamba who was compared to the current Liverpool marshal, Virgil Van Dijk, was sold to Eredivisie Outift Volendam for an undisclosed fee.

Nottingham Forest was also set to cash in on Chelsea’s Forgotten striker Michy Batshuayi but the deal was rumored to have collapsed due to documents not being sent in due time before the deadline.

The Blues look like they have strengthened their squad with high-profile signings of Kalidou Koulibaly, Wesley Fofana, and Marc Cucurella to tighten their defense while also adding experienced Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Raheem sterling to spearhead their attack. Chelsea is currently on a dip in form and a sheer lack of confidence so It’ll be interesting to see how Thomas Tuchel works with the current squad at his disposal.
