Let’s fly, Eagles Nation!

Quarterback

Jalen Hurts (20.79 projected fantasy points):

Jalen Hurts was Jalen Hurts in Week One. You can question the QB and his ability to throw the ball as well as other elite QBs in the league, but one thing you can’t argue is how good a fantasy asset he is. With his scrambling ability and the weapons at his disposal, he is a must start every week. START

Gardner Minshew (0.77 projected fantasy points):

Gardner Minshew was a complete non-factor, as expected, in Week One. This will continue to be the case, unless an injury occurs in front of him. SIT

Ian Book (0 projected fantasy points):

Ian Book did not suit up in Week One and he will continue to be in street clothes on the sideline unless a catastrophe strikes the Philadelphia Eagles QB depth chart. SIT

Running Back

Miles Sanders (13.32 projected fantasy points):

The Philadelphia Eagles finally gave Miles Sanders the work load he has deserved. He went 13 carries for 96 yards and a TD on the ground to go with two catches for nine yards in the air. In this offense, he will be an RB2/FLEX starter all year, if healthy. START

Kenneth Gainwell (8.18 projected fantasy points):

Kenny G had a decent game with five carries for 20 yards and a touchdown to go with two catches for 12 yards. Gainwell will not be a player you can count on week to week, but he’s a handcuff with flex appeal, depending on how many offensive starters you’re leagues require. FLEX

Boston Scott (3.79 projected fantasy points):

Boston scored a TD but only received four carries – until something changes ahead of him, he will continue best served as a stash with upside due to injury. SIT

Trey Sermon (1.97 projected fantasy points):

Same as Scott above, and same as last week, Sermon will be a stash piece at best. SIT

Wide Receiver

A.J. Brown (17.87 projected fantasy points):

In Week One, Mr. Brown showed exactly what we hoped to see with 10 catches for 155 yards. A.J. didn’t get into the endzone this week, but with his target share and RAC ability he should be a sure-fire WR1 this year and beyond. START

Devonta Smith (9.91 projected fantasy points):

A very disappointing start to the season in year two. Smitty was targeted four times and and failed to haul in any of them. Smitty didn’t have the best start, but I don’t think it’s time to panic here, keep him in your lineups and he will deliver. FLEX

Quez Watkins (7.08 projected fantasy points):

With Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, and Miles Sanders clearly ahead of Quez in the target pecking order, he will best suited left on the bench. SIT

Zach Pascal (2.12 projected fantasy points):

Zach saw some third down targets in Week One, but with that said, there was nothing noteworthy from his performance from a fantasy football perspective. SIT

Tight End

Dallas Goedert (12.39 projected fantasy points):

Goedert caught three balls on four targets for 60 yards. What stands out the most from his stat line are his 15 yards per target and 20 yards per catch numbers. He may not be a focal point every week but he makes big plays, constantly. START

Jack Stoll (0.62 projected fantasy points):

Stoll dropped his only target and looks to be limited to an in-line blocking role – he probably shouldn’t be rostered at this point. SIT

Grant Calcaterra (0 projected fantasy points):

Calcaterra was inactive for week 1, which was slightly surprising for Eagles fans. Moving forward, unless an injury occurs, Grant looks to be a non-factor from a fantasy football outlook. SIT
