The Cincinnati Bengals head to MetLife Stadium to take on the New York Jets. The Bengals have been a very underwhelming team throughout their first two games of the season. Losing both on last-second field goals.
The Jets were also on the verge of being an 0-2 team until they made a miraculous comeback with just a buck 30 left, down 30-17. A touchdown with 22 seconds left to Garrett Wilson put the Jets in possession in position to secure their first victory of the year.
This will be the first matchup between the Bengals and CJ Uzomah since he left. The game is in New York, but I’d expect a lot of love between the players and the Bengals fans in MetLife.
This is nearly a must-win type game for the Cincinnati Bengals. Only one team in the last 20 years has started 0-3 and made the playoffs. The Bengals are against the odds highly if they can’t find a way to win Sunday afternoon.
The biggest question is if the Bengals’ offensive line can perform at a higher level. That will be the biggest question mark, along with Cincinnati’s slow start. That they have gotten off to the last two games. The Bengals need to come out faster and more focused. Being down 10+ at the half is not a recipe for success.
The game kicks off at 1 PM ET On CBS. Jets are looking to carry over their momentum as the Bengals are looking to quiet the critics and get their first win of the season.
