Colts Injury Report: Key Players Leave And Enter IR

Colts Jonathan Taylor, Matt Ryan return to practice, and Shaqulle Leonard heads to IR before the week 10 match up against the Raiders.

After hiring Jeff Saturday to be the interim head coach, the Colts are heading into their week ten match-up against the Raiders banged up. Shaquille Leonard is heading to IR after tweaking his back and ankle this week, Jonathan Taylor returns to practice after tweaking his ankle against the Commanders, and Matt Ryan returns to practice after missing the past two weeks. Leonard going to IR means he must miss at least four games.

Colts’ Wednesday Practice Report

  • Tight end Mo Alie-Cox/ankle, cornerback Tony Brown/hamstring, running back Deon Jackson/knee, quarterback Matt Ryan/right shoulder, and tight end Jelani Woods/shoulder did not participate in practice on Wednesday
  • Cornerback Stephon Gilmore, safety Rodney McLeod Jr, defensive end Yannick Ngakque did not practice on Wednesday due to a rest day
  • Center Ryan Kelly/knee, linebacker Grant Stuard/pectorial, running back Jonathan Taylor/ankle were limited in practice on Wednesday
  • Defensive end DeForest Buckner/thumb was a full participant in practice on Wednesday.

  • Tight end Mo Alie-Cox/ankle, running back Deon Jackson/knee, and tight end Jelani Woods/shoulder did not participate in practice on Wednesday
  • Cornerback Tony Brown/hamstring and linebacker Grant Stuard/pectoral were limited participants on Thursday
  • Quarterback Matt Ryan/right shoulder was a full participant on Thursday

  • Defensive end Kwity Paye made it onto the injury report on Friday after he tweaked his ankle. He is questionable for Sunday
  • Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner/thumb got a rest day on Friday
  • Running back Jonathan Taylor/ankle logged his second full practice on Friday after being a limited participant on Wednesday
  • Tight end Mo Alie-Cox/ankle was limited on Friday and officially listed as questionable for the game on Sunday. He did not participate in practice on Wednesday or Thursday
  • Cornerback Tony Brown/hamstring and linebacker Grant Stuard/pectoral were both full participants in practice on Friday
