Patriots Prop Bets For A Successful Thanksgiving.

We’re onto Minnesota. Last Sunday proved that the Patriots can win in more ways than one. However, beating this Vikings team will take more than a last-second punt return. Or is it?

The Vikings came back home with their tails tucked between their legs. The Cowboys embarrassed them by blowing them out 40-3. The defense sacked Cousins seven times. Imagine what our defense can do!

I mentioned on the Gillette Gazette Podcast that this would be a challenging game for Pats fans. The Vikings know how to put the ball in the end zone. Their defense has a lot of big names like Eric Kendricks and Patrick Peterson, making them a team to keep a close eye on. Unfortunately, it will be another week of pulling teeth to gain any offensive production.

With that being said, here are my prop bets for this week’s turkey game on primetime television!

Mac Jones Kicks Things Into OVER Drive

The Patriots offense has been pitiful to watch. Every drive ends the same as fans watch in disgust. However, this week things may change. They have struggled to put points on the board all season. What makes this week so unique?

I’m feeling a lovely Thanksgiving miracle from the hometown boys. Mac Jones faces a defense that has allowed the fourth most passing yards this season. After the Vikings’ defense’s abysmal performance against the Cowboys gives the Pats Nation hope that they will not be able to turn it around in only a few days.

Mac Jones throwing for over 200 yards and a touchdown is exactly what we need for a happy thanksgiving. The only thing in his way is himself, and Matt Patricia.

The Patriots and Vikings Will Hit Double-Digit Sacks.

Both these teams have struggling offensive lines. In their two meetings, the Jets sacked Mac Jones 12 times, while Kirk Cousins found himself on the turf a career-high seven times last week. But, of course, sacks are not always the QB’s fault; their offensive lines must accept the blame and improve. I don’t know how much improvement will be made in a few days, but that’s the fun of being a fan!

Matt Judon, Deatrich Wise, and Devon Godchaux are the front-runners to takedown Cousins in the pocket. As for the Vikings, Za’Darius Smith, Danielle Hunter, and Eric Kendricks strike the champ as a trio who could ruin turkey day for Patriots Nation. Putting your money on them is a fish-in-a-barrel bet.

Stevenson Cools Off In The Patriots Offense.

Rhomandre Stevenson has been the focal point of the Patriots offense this season. When the team needs a big play, his number is called to get it done. Unfortunately, I do not see that being the case this week.

The Vikings’ defense has been able to stop the run well this season. Their run defense trumps their passing defense in production. With a front seven like theirs, I’d be worried about breaking through them. It might be a good idea to put the ball in Mac’s hands this week and let him go. Patricia can take the week off and finish the leftovers from dinner.

The Patriots and Vikings Score A Combined 41 Points; The Under Hits.

If you aren’t listening to the Gillette Gazette Podcast every week, you are CLEARLY missing out. My co-host Soor and I speak the truth regarding the most fantastic football team to grace God’s green Earth. We end our preview shows each week by giving our score predictions. I was not kind in this episode.

I predicted the Vikings would chew the Pats up like a ragdoll in a 31-10 victory. Add those scores together, and you get 41. The line has been set at 42 points. Therefore, the game will hit the under.

I don’t make the rules. I just enforce them.

Thanksgiving is when we sit around the table with our loved ones and talk about what we are thankful for. I’m grateful that 6-4 puts us in a playoff spot this year. That’s about it.
