Former Titans Outside Linebacker Ola Adeniyi

Interim General Manager Ryan Cowden continues to make over the Titans’ roster after the organization moved on from Jon Robinson. After losing to the Jaguars yesterday, two players have been released today.

The Titans Linebacker Depth Shifts

The team has released outside linebacker Ola Adeniyi and linebacker Joe Schobert from the roster. Adeniyi has played three games this season, returning to action after spending a significant period on Injured Reserve. Per Paul Kuharsky, Adeniyi was a special teams player who was not as effective in other areas, such as pass rush.

Joe Schobert played in six games this season, including 122 defensive snaps and 34 special teams plays. Schobert has been somewhat of a journeyman in his career, having also played for the Steelers, Broncos, and Jaguars.

Per Terry McCormick, the release of Adeniyi and Schobert leaves two open roster spots. Players on Injured Reserve could fill these spots. Of possible names to remember, McCormick names rookie wide receiver Kyle Phillips, linebacker Zach Cunningham, and cornerback Lonnie Johnson, Jr.
