Who Is Damar Hamlin?
Bills safety Damar Hamlin is just 24 years old. He was born in Mckees Rocks, Pennsylvania, and attended Pittsburgh Central Catholic. Hamlin played safety at the University of Pittsburgh and was named a team captain for his senior season. He recorded 275 tackles, 21 pass breakups, and two interceptions throughout his five-year college career.
The Buffalo Bills drafted Hamlin in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He appeared in 14 games as a rookie, mostly on special teams, recording two tackles. However, Hamlin became a full-time starter beginning in Week Three of the 2022 season, filling in for the injured Micah Hyde. Damar Hamlin was having a productive season with 91 tackles and two forced fumbles.
