It is officially NFL Draft season, and the Chicago Bears have the first overall pick. The Bears are most likely not in the quarterback market with Justin Fields being their guy moving forward, but they could use their pick as a trade piece if another team is looking for their franchise signal caller.
NFL Teams Who Could Make A Move
The Houston Texans have the second pick and need a quarterback in the worst way. The Indianapolis Colts who also need a quarterback have the fourth pick, and they could be players to move up to number one and get their guy before the Texans’ divisional rivals can pick.
I think the Bears will end up trading the pick away, and I think the Las Vegas Raiders will move up from pick number seven to one and draft their quarterback.
Why The Raiders?
The Raiders will be players for Tom Brady this offseason, but Brady will turn 46 years old this year, and the Raiders aren’t close to being a team that can win the Super Bowl even with Brady.
The Raiders will be moving on from their quarterback Derek Carr this offseason, and they need to replace them with a young guy. The Raiders need a quarterback that can compete with Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert who, play in the same division, and a year of Brady won’t do that.
The city of Las Vegas needs a young star quarterback to be excited about, and this should be the draft they go all out and get their guy.
The top three quarterbacks in the draft are Bryce Young from Alabama, C.J. Stroud from Ohio State, and Will Levis from Kentucky.
I think the pick should be Stroud after his great performance against Georgia in the playoff last month showed he has a lot of great NFL traits, and I think after the combine and the draft process Stroud will move himself to the number one quarterback.
