5 Big Fantasy Sleepers You Shouldn’t Sleep On In 2023

Who are the biggest Fantasy Football Sleepers this season?

#1. Tua Tagovailoa

The Miami Dolphins Quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, is the player I most expect to take the step forward and become a major fantasy asset in the 2023 season. Last season before his concussion he was on pace for a record season and a potential MVP run. When Tua was on the field he averaged 18.3 points per game in PPR formats, this average of course being affected by the low-point games when he was taken out with injury.

That being said, in the games he started and finished he averaged 22.5 PPG, if Tua can stay healthy and on the field he should be set to take a massive leap forward and establish himself as a top five QB. Tua’s current Average Draft Position is 95.8 in single QB leagues, an absolute steal in the mid-rounds of Redraft or Dynasty startups.

#2. Miles Sanders

My second biggest fantasy sleeper for 2023 is former Philadelphia Eagles Running Back, Miles Sanders. Sanders had 1,269 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns in 2022, all while splitting carries with Kenneth Gainwell and having carries taken by Jalen Hurts. Sanders was traded to the Carolina Panthers in the off-season and now has major sleeper potential.

Carolina traded RB Christian McCaffery to San Francisco last season and then traded RB Donta Foreman to the Bears, leaving the backfield wide-open for Sanders to take the lead. All that and Carolina is now starting a rookie QB(Bryce Young), this could lead to Sanders being his top safety valve. The potential for Sanders to have a massive year is definitely there, his current ADP is 93.9, if you want to wait for a running back, he could be your guy.

#3. Jahan Dotson

Second-year Wide Receiver Jahan Dotson wasn’t the standout rookie last year but he did flash massive talent in a sub-par offense with the Washington Commanders and could be a sneaky sleeper in 2023. Dotson recorded 35 receptions for 523 yards and 7 TDs averaging 14.9 yds a catch and a TD every 5 receptions.

His sleeper value could be huge especially with his connection with QB Sam Howell, even if Howell loses the job to Brissett however, Dotson should still be in line for a massive target share as his only receiving competition is Terry McLaurin and an inconsistent Curtis Samuel. His current ADP is 90.4, a great option for those needing a WR in the middle rounds.

#4. Jordan Love

The Green Bay Packers’ new offensive leader could just be one of the best sleeper QBs this year.

Taking the helm from Aaron Rodgers, Love has had three years to learn from the former MVP and Green Bay seems to be confident he’s their next franchise QB. Despite not having much NFL playing time he impressed in college, he finished his career at Utah State ranked #2 in the school’s history in passing yards (8,600), completions (689), and attempts (1,125), and tied for #2 in TD passes (60), having only played 3 seasons. Green Bay has now set him up with the tools to succeed having drafted a multitude of WRs over the last 2 years. His current ADP is 162.9, a potential top 10 QB in the late middle to end rounds of startups.

#5. Elijah Moore

The former New York Jets WR was recently traded to the Cleveland Browns during the 2023 offseason, a change of scenery that might just make him one of the best sleeper WRs this year. During his tenure with NY, Moore showed amazing prowess, amassing 459 yds and 5 TDs over 6 games in 2021. Injuries then offset him and the 2022 season was not the improvement many looked for, although this could be related to his usage and QB play.

During the 2022 campaign, QB Zach Wilson played incredibly subpar and tended to favor his RBs and WR Garrett Wilson, this led to Moore requesting a trade that seemed to further lessen his playing time and targets. Now being traded to Cleveland he could be rejuvenated, his new QB Deshaun Watson has been regarded as top five and his main target competition is an aging Amari Cooper. His current ADP is 137.7, if you’re looking for WR depth with massive sleeper upside, Moore is your guy.
