Draft season is here, and the Steelers still have several spots that need to be filled.

Who could they look to take with their first three picks later this April?

Round 1 (pick 21): CB Jahdae Barron, Texas

Corner has become one of the biggest positions of need for Pittsburgh in recent years, even after the recent acquisition of Darius Slay.

Barron has great speed and agility, and he put that on full display at the NFL Combine. He ran a 4.39 40-yard dash (which ranked top six out of cornerbacks at the combine) along with a 35-inch vertical leap.

Barron can play both nickel or on the outside across from Joey Porter Jr. depending on where Slay ends up fitting in.

Round 3 (pick 83): DT Omarr Norman-Lott, Tennessee

The Steelers gave up their 2nd round pick in the D.K. Metcalf trade, so they will have to wait until round 3 to make their next selection.

Omarr Norman-Lott may not be the biggest defensive lineman in the draft but he makes up for it with great hands and athleticism.

With the departure of Larry Ogunjobi, the Steelers need to bolster up the defensive line, and Norman-Lott could be a good rotational piece turned starter down the road.

Round 4 (pick 121): WR Xavier Restrepo, Miami

The Steelers added a massive piece to their wide receiver room with the trade for D.K. Metcalf, however, can still look to add someone, especially in the slot.

Restrepo is a shifty slot-only receiver that could add to the team in multiple ways. He is not unwilling to play his part as a blocker and has great pass-catching ability, especially in the screen game.

Restrepo is a solid depth option that could show flashes with the ball in his hand.

End Of My Steelers Mock Draft Rant

Draft season is always exciting around the NFL and this year is no exception.

Over the last few years, the Steelers have done well in the middle and later portions of the draft but have struggled where it matters most, round one. Hopefully, this year is not the same story.
