The Cleveland Guardians have been fighting all season long, but on Thursday night, they found themselves down late to the New York Yankees, losing 5-3 with one out left in the bottom of the ninth and one runner on.
Cleveland needed to win the game in the worst way possible because if they had lost, they would have been down three games to none in the series.
The Guardians sent up a pinch hitter, Jhonkensy Noel, who is a rookie, and he homered in his first MLB at-bat back in Baltimore earlier this season.
Cleveland has yet to have much production from Noel this postseason, but on Thursday night, when they needed him the most, he came through in the clutch and hit a game-tying home run to send the game into extra innings.
Cleveland Guardians Call
Anyone who knows anything about baseball knows that the Guardians have the best radio voice: Tom Hamilton, who delivered one of the most significant calls you will ever hear.
Cleveland would end up walking the game off in the bottom of the tenth with a David Fry two-run homer, and Game Four will take place on Friday night. The Guardians are now down two games to one.
