Cristiano Ronaldo is on the verge of signing an astronomical contract extension with Al Nassr, which will ensure that the Portuguese player remains the highest-paid player in the world. However, that is only one of the perks of the mouth-watering contract.

Record Breaking Contract Details

According to Marca, the extension announcement is only a matter of time now, and the figures are mind-boggling. Cristiano Ronaldo is set to agree to a one-year extension that will see him earn an annual wage of around €185 million. If we break it down further, the Portuguese sensation will equate to €15 per month, €3.8m per week, and €550k per day. That’s not it; it is also reported that the 39-year-old would have a partial stake in Al Nassr Football Club.

The footballing icon recently hinted that he would like to own a football club more than he would like to manage one. This contract is a clear indication of Ronaldo’s future goals.

What Motivates Cristiano Ronaldo Further

Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved everything there is to achieve in club football. The forward even has an International trophy in his trophy cabinet as well. However, he does have a personal aim for himself, which is still to reach the 1000 career goal milestone.

Even the legend has somewhat dismissed this, but as we’ve witnessed for the last 15-20 years, nothing is impossible for Ronaldo. He has 916 career goals right now, and a contract extension can certainly ignite the motivation to complete this milestone for the soon-to-be 40-year-old.

From a perspective that focuses on his club and his International career, Cristiano Ronaldo has won just one trophy with Al Nassr, the Arab Club Champions League. It was an unofficial tournament in which Ronaldo scored twice against Al Hilal to win it.

Despite his prolific goal-scoring record and performances since signing for the Saudi Pro League outfit in 2022, the Arab Club Champions League remains his only trophy with the club. Ronaldo will surely aim to deliver a major trophy to Al Nassr after signing the most lucrative contract in football history, particularly annually. A final surge for the 2026 World Cup with his International team could also be on the cards.
