A surprising set of events saw Alejandro Garnacho’s agent present at Stamford Bridge during Chelsea’s Premier League fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Argentine has been linked with a move away from Manchester United this January, and rumors are circulating.

Alejandro Garnacho’s Manchester United Future In Doubt

Garnacho, the 20-year-old, has been having a rough time this season after starting very strongly. He had eight goal contributions in his first four games in all competitions, but as the season progressed, the youngster was in the middle of huge criticism and slander from the fanbase. After the sacking of Erik Ten Hag, Garnacho has had quite difficulty getting regular game time under the new manager, Ruben Amorim

The Portuguese gaffer also left the Argentine out of the squad alongside Marcus Rashford. The reason was believed to be off-field antics, where he purportedly disclosed the Manchester United lineup news to a random group chat on Twitter. However, unlike his colleague, he returned to the squad in the next game week.

Manchester United is rumored to be receptive to allowing Garnacho to leave in the current January transfer window, with both Napoli and Chelsea showing concrete interest.

Agents Visit to Stamford Bridge

Alejandro Garnacho

Fabrizio Romano revealed that Alejandro Garnacho‘s agents, Carlos Cambeiro and Quinque De Lucas, were spotted at Stamford Bridge during Chelsea‘s 3-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers. This ignited significant speculation about where Garnacho‘s next move might be. Chelsea contacted Manchester United about a possible move for the 20-year-old, but he’s just one of several options on the list of Blues.

Reports suggest that Napoli are the frontrunners to secure the young Argentine winger’s signature. Antonio Conte sees the 20-year-old as the perfect replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who left for PSG a few days ago. Conte reportedly held a direct call with Garnacho on Friday. It appears the Serie A leaders are in pole position to outpace all competition to secure this signing if they meet Manchester United‘s asking price of £63-65 million.

End Of Rant

Manchester United is in a deep financial crisis, and can only make new signings based on what they sell. Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho could leave the club, which could be enough to generate some funds for now and allow the team to get replacements. United sit 13th in the Premier League, their worst start to a season. It is also their worst position to be in, at this stage of the season, out of all previous campaigns. Amorim has an enormous job to pull off. For more fearless sports coverage, visit Stadium Rant.
