The Baltimore Ravens have had a rough decade within the NFL. The team is struggling to expand their fanbase, having won just two Super Bowls since moving to Baltimore. Some fans are either losing faith or interest in the Ravens. The Cleveland Browns have been a fierce competitor of the Ravens since 1999, and it has a big impact on how NFL viewers see them as a whole. It’s said that Baltimore’s logo was inspired by their competitor. The logo of the raven faces to the right (and… the Cleveland Browns is a helmet tilted to the right), so it’s easy for people who watch football to see a comparison.

Lack of Fans and Supporters

Ravens, Baltimore, Fans

Over 1.2 million people are Baltimore Raven fans as of October 21, 2024, but the flock is slowly moving away from the nest. It’s been over a decade since their last Super Bowl win, and poor showings in recent playoff losses have their fans losing faith in their ability to get back to the big game.

The Ravens started 2024 0-2 for the first time since 2015. This included a 27-20 loss to the Chiefs at Arrowhead in the season opener and a 26-23 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in M&T Bank Stadium.

The 2024-2025 Free Agency

The Ravens lost key players to free agency during the offseason. Patrick Queen, one of the Ravens’ best linebackers went to the Pittsburgh Steelers. They acquired Smith last season during the season.

Offensive lineman Josh Jones signed with the Ravens after playing 2023 for the Houston Texans. He does not have a defined position, which could drag down the entire team. It’s been reported that Jones had to get his thyroid removed because of a health condition. This could have a strong impact on his ability to play for the rest of his career.

The loss of key players, and the inability to replace them through free agency of the draft, could be the downfall of the Ravens 2024-25 season.
