The WWE Royal Rumble was a huge success, becoming the biggest rumble ever. This may have been the deepest roster, with the deepest storylines, of any rumble. Plenty of meat left on the bone for the main event of Raw.

WWE Royal Rumble Spills Over Into Raw Main Event

Seth Rollins had an in-ring promo near the end of the show. As much as his recent losses hurt, he has his eyes on the Elimination Chamber. After all, there are numerous roads to WrestleMania. Rollins then called Sami Zayn to the ring. With a match against CM Punk to follow, Zayn heard Rollins list plenty of reasons to give the fight of his life. Rollins would be the first to admit he has a shoot-hate for Punk.

Punk and Zayn then had a match to determine who advanced to the Elimination Chamber. The pace was painfully slow. Punk looked gassed, while Zayn did his best to work an injury, and to make him look good. To their credit, the ending of the match had anxious false finishes for both superstars. 

Zayn reversed a second consecutive GTS. With the match in hand, Zayn was reversed by Punk. The third time was the charm, as Punk finally connected with GTS. CM Punk advances to Elimination Chamber.

End Of My Raw After WWE Royal Rumble Rant

Shaking hands after the match, the two stars seemingly settled their beef. It seemed the segment was ending when Kevin Owens rushed the ring. Raw went off the air with Owens hitting Zayn with a devastating package piledriver. Does this cement their road to WrestleMania?
