Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo just continues to amaze fans around the world with his amazing longevity. Recently, with Al Nassr, he hit another landmark by scoring his 927th career goal. The Portugal captain has always desired to reach his 1000th career goal. Now, he needs another 73 more to reach that prolific milestone.
In the AFC Champions League on Monday (March 10), Ronaldo scored as Al Nassr advanced to the last 8 of the competition. According to football statisticians, the former Real Madrid man has scored more goals after turning 30 than he did before that. Of the 927 goals he has scored, 463 have come in the colors of Portugal, Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, and Sporting Lisbon. 464 have come for Real Madrid, Juventus, United (second stint) and Al Nassr.
Many expected the 2022 World Cup to be the final international tournament for Cristiano Ronaldo. Portugal lost to Morocco in the quarterfinals, which saw their captain leaving the field with teary eyes. However, Ronaldo has stunned the world by returning to full competitive form. It should be noted that before the World Cup had begun, Ronaldo’s club at the time (Manchester United) had ripped up his contract for his breaches.
In an interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo was seen slamming Manchester United and, in particular, the manager Erik ten Hag.
