This is his feeling and then I have his back.”

Why Does Ajax Want To Keep Henderson?

It’s rational that Ajax wants to keep Henderson. The Eredivisie side had Liverpool’s previous player playing for them since Jan. 2024. He joined the club coming from Al-Ettifaq.

The team’s head coach, Francesco Farioli, wants to keep Henderson, especially since he has been essential to his plans. With five assists so far, Henderson is part of the club’s plans and attempts to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

According to ESPN, Henderson decided to stay at Ajax despite Monaco’s interest. He was open at first to making the move, but he has changed his mind.

It is also reported that Henderson apologized to Ajax director Alex Kroes, and the entire team as well for the situation. According to De Telegraaf, the England international has “promised” Kroes to stay at the club until the end of the season.

While some Ajax fans are delighted by the news, some are angry at Henderson for the way he behaved and for even considering the move.

Despite all the rumors about the Monaco deal, Fariola said that Henderson managed to stay focused during the Galatasaray match:
