Indianapolis Colts star running back Jonathan Taylor returned to practice on Wednesday. Taylor has been dealing with a high ankle sprain and hasn’t practiced since the Week Four game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Taylor has rushed for 349 yards and four touchdowns on 72 carries through his first four games of the year. His return is much-needed as Indy faces a challenging set of opponents over the next five weeks.

Colts Tough Road Ahead

The Indianapolis Colts have had an up-and-down experience in 2024. The team dropped its first two games but won four of its last five to improve to 4-3. However, the schedule gets difficult starting in Week Eight.

Jonathan Taylor, Colts, Injury

Indianapolis travels to Houston this weekend for a big AFC South meeting with the Texans. The Colts lost both games against C.J. Stoud last season. A win on Sunday would put the Indy ahead of Houston in the division standings.

Following that game, the Colts travel to Minnesota to face the 5-1 Vikings. This game was flexed to Sunday Night Football earlier this week. Home-field advantage has been strong for the Vikes this year, and the crowd noise could make life difficult for Richardson and the offense.

Indianapolis hosts the Buffalo Bills in Week Ten. Josh Allen has only played one career game against the Colts, throwing for 209 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in a losing effort.

The New York Jets are the softest opponent of the next five weeks in Week 11. Aaron Rodgers has been dealing with injuries, and the Jets are struggling to assemble all the pieces. After the Jets game, Indy will face the Lions, who are playing like one of the best teams in the NFL right now.

The Final Six Weeks For Jonathan Taylor And The Colts

The schedule eases up in Week 12, with Indianapolis traveling to New England before their bye week. The Colts will finish the season with the following games: at Denver Broncos (Week 15), vs. Tennessee Titans (Week 16), at New York Giants (Week 17), and vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (Week 18).
