Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham is under a dark cloud of suspension following his red card against Osasuna in the recent La Liga Game. The English superstar had stated an alleged “f*ck you” comment directed towards the referee, eventually putting Real Madrid a man down in the home La Liga game.
Jude Bellingham Throws Bombshell

Jude Bellingham is a player who has stunned the football world with his amazing performances since his breakthrough at Borussia Dortmund. The right-footed midfielder has been the center of attention for every good or bad performance the Los Blancos put in since his move to the club in 2023. However, he has had his fair share of red cards throughout the course of his career in Spain.
Another big episode took place on February 15th (Saturday), when Real Madrid played Osasuna. The Los Blancos midfielder was sent off for a slur towards the referee. Bellingham had reported to have said, “I’m talking to you with respect, f*ck off.”
However, Bellingham completely put down those comments. He said in the post-match interview, “I didn’t say anything bad to the referee. It’s clear that there was a communication error. It’s an expression like the Spanish one ‘joder’… and the consequence is that he left us with one less player. It’s not an insult, it was an expression for myself.”
The Consequences
According to the rules from Spanish Football Federation, “Insulting, offending, or addressing the main referee, assistants, fourth official, directors, or sports authorities in offensive terms or attitudes, unless it constitutes a more serious offense, will be punished with a suspension of four to 12 matches.”
Regardless of whether Jude Bellingham gets a four game or a 12 game ban, Real Madrid is on the back foot in terms of the La Liga title race. They have a three point lead over Barcelona, but the Catalans have played one game less. With Atletico Madrid also drawing their La Liga game, Barcelona have the perfect opportunity to go equal on points with Real Madrid. They play Rayo Vallecano at home on Monday (February 18th).
End Of Rant
Jude Bellingham’s absence is a huge setback for Real Madrid. If the English superstar is out for an extended period, he is likely to miss the knockout games in the Copa Del Rey. With the title-deciding games coming thick and fast for the Los Blancos, manager Carlo Ancelotti has a critical task ahead. For more fearless sports coverage, visit Stadium Rant.
