Neymar has dismissed rumors about his exit from Al Hilal and suggested that he is not interested in moving. Reports have been circulating about the possibility of Neymar Jr returning to Brazil to play for Corinthians.

Dutch forward Memphis Depay has urged the Brazilian to join him at Corinthians. Still, the 32-year-old has no interest in returning to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.

Neymar’s Injury Struggles At Al Hilal

Neymar completed a transfer to Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal from PSG  in a deal worth around €90 million, making it the most expensive transfer in the league’s history. Al Hilal also pays him a remarkable €2.88 million per week, almost six times more than he earned at PSG. Despite the hype surrounding the Brazilian’s transfer, he has very little to show for it, with just seven appearances since 2023 and spending nearly 450 days and counting sidelined by injuries.

After 330 days out recovering from an ACL tear, the mercurial winger finally returned to the pitch after a whole season. He only suffered another hamstring injury, which has ruled him out further. This has caused massive uncertainty about his future with Al Hilal, and he has been long linked with a move back to Brazil.

Corinthians Interest, And Neymar’s Reply

Neymar Al-Hilal

Memphis Depay has emphasized his desire and excitement about linking up with Neymar for The Corinthians, and a switch to the Brazil side has also been raised as a possibility. However, Neymar was asked about joining the São Paulo outfit at the Brazilian Poker Championship, but the 32-year-old stayed true to his roots. He indirectly pledged loyalty to his boyhood Club Santos and declared it the “best club in the world.”

He further said, “Greater than anything. It revealed the king [Pele] and the prince [Neymar]… Say something else, say something else. Has anyone done more than this guy here? Take a look,” he said, pointing to the crown on the club’s crest to symbolize Pele, after a fan asked him to sign a jersey.

“I have a lot of respect for Corinthians, but you have to respect Santos a lot… Santos is my favorite team.” The only club the once Brazilian prodigy would prefer to return to Brazil will undoubtedly be Santos

End Of Rant

Neymar hopes to remain fit for the second half of the season for Al Hilal, which could convince the Arab side to extend his contract, which expires at the end of the season. The Brazilian International wants to remain at Al Hilal, but the contract situation might spark a move back to Brazil. Will his rumored move to Corinthians finally materialize?
