Day two of NFL free agency has just kicked off. There are still big names left on the board, as well as on the trade block. It’s impossible to know what each free agent is thinking, but using common sense and a little bit of guesswork, assumptions on where they’ll end up can be made. With rumors swirling about all three of these players, here are some potential landing spots for each.

Cooper Kupp

Cooper Kupp is set to hit NFL free agency Wednesday.

It was announced that the Rams are planning on releasing Kupp unless a trade suitor emerges. This leaves Kupp as essentially a free agent, with teams free to sign him upon release. This would throw Cooper Kupp into the thick of NFL free agency. One team that should absolutely look into this possibility is the Seattle Seahawks. After releasing Tyler Lockett and trading D.K. Metcalf, the Hawks need another quality receiver for Sam Darnold.

Another team that would possibly attract the star receiver is the Green Bay Packers. The Packers are in desperate need of a WR1 and have lost out on countless others this free agency cycle. Lafleur coached Kupp in his rookie year, so the connection is certainly there. Perhaps this is just wishful thinking, but this would be a big NFL free agency pickup for Green Bay.

Aaron Rodgers

Rodgers is expected to leave NFL free agency for the Steelers.

While Rodgers seems poised to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers, there are two other teams that aren’t out of the running just yet. The New York Giants are emerging as the runner-up for the Rodgers sweepstakes. If they are able to sway the veteran last minute though, it would be a major success for the front office. Rodgers would be able to help develop a young QB if the Giants take that direction in the draft. He would also serve as a bridge QB and would be a low-risk high-reward signing.

The other potential suitor for Rodgers is the Minnesota Vikings. While this seems less likely by the hour, the possibility of him following the Brett Farve path is still on the table. Aaron would do a great job of developing a young J.J. McCarthy, and would have a hay day with Justin Jefferson.

Russell Wilson

Wilson will be one of the last QBS to leave NFL free agency.

With Rodgers rumored to sign in Pittsburgh, and his fellow QB Justin Fields already signing elsewhere, it looks inevitable that Wilson will leave the Steelers. As the NFL free agency quarterback market continues to dry up, most teams have there play-caller for next season. This doesn’t leave many options for the former Super Bowl winner.

One team has expressed a deep interest in Wilson however, that team being the Tennessee Titans. According to Connor Hughes, the Titans have expressed interest in signing Wilson as a bridge QB. Seeing as the Titans possibly plan on not using the number one overall pick on a QB, this could work out perfectly for both parties. This may also be Wilson’s only chance at being a starter this year, and beggars can’t be choosers.

End Of My NFL Free Agency Rant

Day two of free agency is already proving to be just as hectic as day one. These three players are all likely to find new homes within the next 48 hours. The question is, where will they go? All three have had some of the greatest seasons for their respective positions in NFL history, but have since fallen off statistically speaking. Of course, they are still high-ticket players who will demand and rightfully receive enormous contracts.

It’s possible that all these guys go to the teams listed above, but for all we know they will end up in completely different places. In NFL free agency, you have to expect the unexpected.
