Khvicha Kvaratskhelia finally makes the move to Paris Saint-Germain coming from Napoli.
The transfer market is witnessing several deals with each passing day, and one more transfer deal has been made. Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has completed his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
The French club, Paris Saint-Germain, has announced that they completed the transfer of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. While the amount paid for Napoli wasn’t revealed, it is reported that the fee passed the €70m mark.
Kvaratskhelia passed his medical and signed the first contract of probably many with Paris Saint-Germain. The four-and-half-year contract will last until June 2029. The news circulating speculates that Kvaratskhelia will receive €9m along with bonuses depending on his performance.
This move isn’t just beneficial to Paris Saint-Germain, but also to Kvaratskhelia as well. Paris Saint-Germain has won for themselves an elite player who many clubs dreamed of landing him to their side. The Napoli star left an impact on the club’s history as he scored 30 goals and had 29 assists in 107 matches.
On the other hand, Kvaratskhelia himself is excited to join PSG. He stated that it was a dream come true for him to join Paris Saint-Germain.
“It’s a dream to be here. I’ve heard a lot of very positive things about Paris Saint-Germain. I feel immense pride in joining this great club and I’m really looking forward to wearing my new colours.”
Paris Saint-Germain isn’t the only one benefiting from this transfer deal. Kvaratskhelia himself will benefit from it. For starters, the star is witnessing a huge boost in his salary. During his time at Napoli, Kvaratskhelia received €1.5m in wages. His wage remained the same since he joined the club in July 2022. Things are different now.
Even Napoli has benefited a lot from this deal. Having purchased Kvaratskhelia for only €13.3m, the club has made a lot of profit. So while Napoli fans are surely sad to see Kvaratskhelia go, they might be satisfied with the profit he brought to the club.
Kvaratskhelia made sure to say goodbye to Napoli and the fans before the move was announced. He posted a goodbye video to his social media accounts to bid the fans and the club farewell.
Kvaratskhelia is leaving behind him fond memories that will be remembered for years. He played a role in helping Napoli win the 2023 Serie A title. It was the first one for them in 33 years.
The loss of Napoli is a win for Paris Saint-Germain. The French club made sure to welcome their newest signing. Club president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, had words of his own to say:
“Khvicha is one of the most exciting players in world football – a fantastic talent, but also a player who has courage and fights for the team above all else. Khvicha was so determined to be part of our great club. I know he will achieve all his goals with us.“
The future for the Georgian is more than bright.
