2024 Drake London Future Prop Bet

We're approaching the dog days of Summer. Unless you love betting on baseball, it's not the most exciting time of the year on the betting calendar. However, it is a great time to start looking ahead to some NFL Futures. And this is one of my favorites.

Drake London Over 975.5 Receiving Yards

Things are setting up perfectly for Drake London this season. Desmond Ridder is out, and Kirk Cousins is in. There is no guarantee Cousins will return to his old self after tearing his Achilles last season, but I'd take him on one leg over Ridder any day.

Atlanta also kicked Arthur Smith to the curb after a disappointing 2023 campaign. Smith loved to run the football. The Falcons were 3rd in the league in rushing attempts last season. They weren't lights out when it came to passing the ball, either. They were in the bottom 10 in the NFL in passing attempts, completion percentage, passing touchdowns, most interceptions, and QBR. They were also 21st in the league in passing yards. This is probably all because Ridder was the quarterback, but I digress.

Atlanta hired former Rams Defensive Coordinator Raheem Morris as the new HC. Since he's a defensive guy, he brought along Zac Robinson with him from Los Angeles.

Robinson served as the passing game coordinator and quarterback coach for the Rams. Hiring Robinson makes it safe to assume the Falcons will primarily focus on throwing the ball on offense this season. The Rams were in the middle of the pack when it came to passing attempts per game in 2023, but they were in the top 10 in terms of yards per attempt.

London came up 71 yards short of this number last season in just 15 games. This means he was hurt, had a dumb quarterback, had a bad coach, and still probably would have hit this number if he played 16 games instead of 15.

He is also far and away the best receiver on the team. Atlanta signed Darnell Mooney from the Bears and Rondale Moore from the Cardinals in the offseason. Both are fine receivers, but neither are on London's level. Mooney recorded over 1,000 yards in 2021 but has failed to break 500 yards in a season since then. Moore will serve as the WR3 on the team. He has also failed to put up more than 500 yards in the last three seasons. There are also rumblings that Kyle Pitts could be due for a breakout season, which could eat into London's targets. But I feel like we have heard that every offseason since he got drafted.

It is worth noting that the Falcons will be playing in a dome in 12 of their 17 games this season. Meaning about 70% of their schedule will be played in a controlled environment where Cousins can air it out to London as much as his heart desires.

Everything is setting up for a big year from the former 1st round pick. If London can stay healthy, he should have no problem putting up 976 yards in this offense. This is one of my favorite prop futures going into the 2024 season.
