2024 Malik Nabers Future Prop Bet
It's almost the most wonderful time of the year: the NFL season is right around the corner. That means it's time to (responsibly) lock in as many future bets as possible. Today's focus is Giants rookie receiver Malik Nabers. It's time to dive into it.
Malik Nabers Over 875.5 Receiving Yards
This number is available on DraftKings. There is very little to like about the New York Giants offense. Nabers may be the only thing to like about the offense. He will be Daniel Jones' go-to receiver on pretty much every play. With him being far and away, the most talented player on that side of the ball, head coach Brian Daboll will draw up plays to get him the rock as much as possible.
This is the most important year of Daniel Jones' career. He will almost certainly not be a Giant after this season, so he must use this year as a tryout for all 31 other teams. He has shown he can be a solid quarterback in Daboll's offense. In 2022, he passed for 3,200 yards with 15 touchdowns and just five interceptions.
Jones was bad last season before getting hurt, but he only played six games, so it is possible that he could have turned things around if he had stayed healthy. The Giants have made multiple improvements to their offensive line from 2023. They signed three new o-line men and a couple of blocking tight ends to keep their quarterback healthy for a full season. Jones knows this is a make-or-break year for his career. He will do whatever he can to put up numbers and prove he can play in the NFL.
New York's schedule provides opportunities for Nabers to get over this number. The Giants play seven games in 2024 against teams with bad secondaries last season. The Vikings, Commanders, Bengals, Eagles, and Buccaneers were all in the bottom 10 in the NFL in passing yards allowed in 2023.
As previously stated, Nabers is the best player in this offense. He is a classic case of the meme of the Ferrari parked in a trailer park. The other two starting receivers on the depth chart are Wan'Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton. Both are fine receivers, but the LSU product is more talented than both. Neither of them should eat into his targets this season.
It is worth noting that Nabers looks amazing in training camp. It is only training camp, so take it with a grain of salt. However, he has shown that he already has an impressive connection with Jones and can be a great receiver in this league.
If Adam Schefter’s enthusiasm is any indication, Nabers to win Rookie of the Year is +1600 on FanDuel. Winning OROY may be a bit of a stretch, given all of the offensive talents that were taken in the first round of the draft, but Nabers should have no problem going over 875.5 receiving yards this season. It wouldn't be all that surprising to see him get to 1,000 yards. Expect the rookie to shine for the Giants in 2024.
