2024 Week 4 NFL Predictions

Dallas Cowboys @ New York Giants

Kayvon Thibodeaux
Kayvon Thibodeaux

This should be an easy one to call, but the Cowboys haven’t looked like themselves this year. Their top-tier defense is underperforming and the offense is struggling to close out games. The Giants are coming off a strong win in Cleveland and their defense looks great. This could easily be another win for Dallas, but it’s not insane to think New York can come away with it.

Winner: Giants

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Indianapolis Colts

Justin Fields
Justin Fields drops back to pass

The Steelers are wildly exceeding expectations this year. Justin Fields is making a strong case for the starting QB job and their defense is one of the best in the NFL. The Colts haven’t been able to find an offensive spark this season. That’s not to say Indy’s dead in the water, but this is a tough matchup against a defensive juggernaut. Pittsburgh will make this a low-scoring game and continue their undefeated streak.

Winner: Steelers

New Orleans Saints @ Atlanta Falcons

The Saints fell back to earth in a 15-12 loss to the Eagles. Their high-powered offense was shut down in a major way. The Falcons on the other hand were dangerously close to beating the Chiefs. They made KC look human in a game that arguably came down to a blown pass interference call. Both of these teams are much better than anticipated and this could go either way. Right now the Falcons are getting the edge, but not with much confidence.

Winner: Falcons

Cincinnati Bengals @ Carolina Panthers

Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase

The Andy Dalton-led Panthers looked like a brand-new team last week. The veteran QB threw for 319 yards and 3 touchdowns to decimate the Raiders. The Bengals are off to a slower start than usual and coming off a tough loss to the Commanders. Cincy still played a terrific game nonetheless. The other shoe will drop in Carolina, maybe as soon as Sunday. The Bengals need this one more and they’ll show that.

Winner: Bengals

Los Angeles Rams @ Chicago Bears

Chicago’s offensive line has been a train wreck this year. Most fans have seen the viral photo of the entire line collapsing. Caleb Williams has played as well as he can given the circumstances, but a rookie can only do so much carrying. The Rams are banged up badly despite coming off a big win over the 49ers. This game won’t be pretty for either team, but experience will win.

Winner: Rams

Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers

Malik Willis

Just as everyone predicted, Malik Willis vs. Sam Darnold in week four with real division stakes. Both of these teams have blown past expectations over the last three weeks. This game is as 50/50 as they come, but the Vikings have to take a loss at some point. Who better than Green Bay to do the job?

Winner: Packers

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Houston Texans

The Jaguars got picked apart by Josh Allen and the Bills on Monday night. However the same could be said for the Texans on Sunday against Minnesota. Both of these teams need a bounce back and frankly, Houston has the better squad.

Winner: Texans

Denver Broncos @ New York Jets

Aaron Rodgers and Robert Saleh

The Broncos got their first win last week against the Buccaneers in impressive fashion. Two rushing touchdowns and four field goals backed a terrific defensive performance on Sunday. The problem here is that the Jets have found a groove. They’re coming off a long week and Aaron Rodgers finally looks like himself again. If New York’s defense can repeat their week three success, they’ll be golden here.

Winner: Jets

Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker Mayfield

It’s strange to say that a 2-1 team is in a rut, but the Philadelphia Eagles are in a rut. Jalen Hurts has looked rough and reckless with the ball going back to late 2023. Just in this season, he has 4 interceptions to only 3 touchdowns. Tampa Bay had a down week against Denver on Sunday, but they tend to bounce back. This will be a close game but the Buccaneers take it at home.

Winner: Buccaneers

New England Patriots @ San Francisco 49ers

49ers
The 49ers in a huddle

The Niners are riddled with injuries right now. CMC, Deebo, Kittle, and Purdy are suffering from varying ailments. New England is coming off a 10-day break after being demolished by the Jets. Against a stronger opponent, the Niners would be cooked here. This is a lucky break for them against an incredibly inefficient team.

Winner: 49ers

Washington Commanders @ Arizona Cardinals

Jayden Daniels

The big headline after Monday night is that Jayden Daniels is legit. The LSU product has been scary in his ability to lead scoring drives and protect the ball. The Cardinals were tempered by Detroit last week, but they’re still as high-powered as it gets. This has real potential to be a shootout. At the end of the day though, Daniels is on fire and Washington is just getting started.

Winner: Commanders

Kansas City Chiefs @ Los Angeles Chargers

Travis Kelce

The Chiefs managed to steal another win against the Falcons in week three. They continue the trend of winning games and keeping it close. The Chargers had their run game stopped by a top 5 defense last week, effectively killing their game plan. This should be a fun divisional matchup between two rivals, but the Chiefs are favorites every week until they lose a game.

Winner: Chiefs

Cleveland Browns @ Las Vegas Raiders

Gardner Minshew

Both of these teams are coming off terrible performances last week. The Raiders got smashed by the Panthers while the Browns were unproductive against the Giants. The Raiders are better than their record shows though. Cleveland’s offense has gained little to no momentum and Las Vegas has a chance to rebound here.

Winner: Raiders

Buffalo Bills @ Baltimore Ravens

Josh Allen
Josh Allen dropping back to pass

The Ravens had fans sweating by nearly blowing another big lead last week. They managed to hold on and close out the win nonetheless. The Bills, on the other hand, dominated the Jaguars and never gave a breath. Buffalo is 3-0 and white hot right now. Josh Allen has been playing loose and having fun while the Ravens struggle to stay ahead. Barring a major change in Baltimore’s game plan, this goes to the Bills all day.

Winner: Bills

Tennessee Titans @ Miami Dolphins

Will Levis

The 0-3 Titans go into Miami to face the 1-2 Dolhins in week 4. Frankly, both of these teams looked horrible last week. If Tua was healthy, then this would easily be a Miami win. At the time of writing, it’s unclear if Skylar Thompson will even get the start. This game in Miami is Tennessee’s perfect chance to get their first win.

Winner: Titans

Seattle Seahawks @ Detroit Lions

Aiden Hutchinson

This should be a fun game to close out the week with. The 3-0 Seahawks go into Detroit against the 2-1 Lions. Seattle has a habit of starting the season hot and then cooling off. The Lions have had a slow start to the year in terms of production, but they’re finding their rhythm when it matters most. The Seahawks could easily continue their hot streak on Sunday, but beating the Lions in Detroit won’t come easy.

Winner: Lions
