2024 Week 6 NFL Predictions

San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks

Both of these teams are coming off close losses in week five. The Seahawks are following their usual trend of starting hot and then cooling off. The Niners are still struggling with injuries, but they’re adjusting now. It’ll be hard to follow last Thursday’s game, but this one should do it. San Fran takes it and mixes up the division standings this week.

Winner: 49ers

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Chicago Bears in London

Caleb Williams

The Jaguars finally got their first win last week over the Colts.  The Bears are on a great trajectory this season. They started slow but are now finding their footing with Caleb Williams. Chicago isn’t lighting anything up yet, but this is a good matchup against a less impressive opponent.

Winner: Bears

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints

Mike Evans

It might be safe to say the Saints have come back to earth. New Orleans looked tremendous in weeks one and two but has since gone 0-3. The Buccaneers had a close overtime loss to the Falcons but they are still a great team going into this divisional matchup. Tampa Bay is more efficient right now and that’ll play in their favor.

Winner: Buccaneers

Arizona Cardinals @ Green Bay Packers

Xavier McKinney

Jordan Love is back and looking like his old self. The 25-year-old rediscovered his groove in a 24-19 win over the Rams last week. The Cardinals are great against struggling teams, but they fall apart against contenders. The Packers are still contenders and their momentum will continue to build here.

Winner: Packers

Indianapolis Colts @ Tennessee Titans

The 1-3 Titans are coming back from a much-needed bye week. Tennessee has been hard to watch this year, with their quarterback being known for memes more than his actual skills. The Colts lost to the Jaguars last week but they were productive and played well. The Titans have more to prove before they can be considered favorites in any game. Whether Anthony Richardson comes back, or Joe Flacco holds the reins, Indy is the better team here.

Winner: Colts

Cleveland Browns @ Philadelphia Eagles

Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles in a huddle

This one should be a cut-and-dry Philly win, but it’s not that easy now. Both of these teams have been disappointing in 2024 in their own ways. The Browns’ offense has been nonexistent through five weeks and Deshaun Watson has proven more trouble than his contract is worth. This could be a close game, but the Eagles are coming off a bye week and hopefully a reset. Philly is the pick here, but not comfortably.

Winner: Eagles

Houston Texans @ New England Patriots

The Texans had a hiccup against the Vikings in week three. Despite that, they're 4-1 and there’s no real reason to doubt them. Houston looked great last week with a terrific defensive performance. Drake Maye is getting the start on sunday, so New England is shaking things up. They still have one of the worst ranking offensive lines in the NFL though. This could be a massacre against an abysmal Patriots offense. This is Houston all day.

Winner: Texans

Washington Commanders @ Baltimore Ravens

Jayden Daniels

The Ravens are a terrific football team and they’re probably the safe pick here, but the Jayden Daniels hype is real. The Commanders are 4-1 for the first time since 2008. The team looks complete, they put points on the board, and they’re fun to watch. This is a 50/50 matchup, but the scolding hot Commanders make a statement in week six.

Winner: Commanders

Los Angeles Chargers @ Denver Broncos

Bo Nix

The Broncos are exceeding expectations this year and it’s thanks to a stellar defense. They’ve held the Buccaneers and the Jets to just seven and nine points, respectively. Before their bye week, LA’s offense was struggling mightily against tough defenses. If Denver can keep up their momentum, they’ll be looking at a surprising 4-2 record.

Winner: Broncos

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Las Vegas Raiders

TJ Watt
TJ Watt giving a thumbs up before a play

This game could end up being close, but it’s a mismatch for the Raiders. The Steelers’ defense has been tremendous through five weeks and Vegas has struggled on offense.

With Davante Adams unlikely to return for the Raiders, their offense isn’t seeing any improvements.

Winner: Steelers

Atlanta Falcons @ Carolina Panthers

Drake London

Kirk Cousins has been unbelievable in Atlanta. The 36-year-old QB went off for 509 yards and four touchdowns in last week’s overtime win. The Panthers are still not a good football team. Andy Dalton has breathed some life into the offense, but they have too many issues holding them back. Atlanta’s offense looks great right now and they’re the hot hand here.

Winner: Falcons

Detroit Lions @ Dallas Cowboys

Jared Goff

The Lions had a bye in week five, getting a break after their 43-29 victory over the Seahawks. Now they’re rested and ready to bite off some kneecaps again. The Cowboys pulled off a win over an elite Steelers defense, but not in a convincing fashion. Detroit is a better team than the Steelers, and the Cowboys will have to step up their game here to have any shot.

Winner: Lions

Cincinnati Bengals @ New York Giants

Joe Burrow

The Giants flipped the script last week with an impressive 29-20 win in Seattle. New York’s defense is tremendous but their offense isn’t consistently following them. The Bengals are better than their record shows. Their defense is nonexistent despite Joe Burrow playing some of his best football. Daniel Jones is 1-12 in prime-time football, and this might be more of the same. The Giants will need to shut down a high-powered offense and take advantage of a poor defense. This could go either way, but the Bengals have the slight edge.

Winner: Bengals

Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets

Josh Allen and Keon Coleman

The big news on Tuesday morning was that the Jets have fired head coach Robert Saleh. New York has been disappointing this year with Aaron Rodgers under center, and they’ve decided to make a change. The Bills are in a rut with back-to-back losses going into week six. Josh Allen hasn’t been himself and the offense has fallen off a cliff. This is a game that both teams need to win, but the Jets are scrambling at the moment. Buffalo bounces back on Monday night.

Winner: Bills
