AJ Dillon Is Approaching Fantasy Bust Status

AJ Dillon was a fourth-round pick in fantasy just two seasons ago (many managers thought he would be the next Derrick Henry) and is now the Packers' third-string RB. Dillon was meant to complement Aaron Jones in Green Bay as a bruising back, but that didn’t work out, as Dillon has been inefficient and lacks burst.

The Packers re-signed Dillon in the off-season, but they also signed pro-bowl running back Josh Jacobs to a four-year deal and drafted MarShawn Lloyd in the third round out of USC. Dillon likely won’t see many touches as he is slotted behind Jacobs and Lloyd, but if Jacobs were to miss time, Dillon ideally would fill in that role.

Dillon shouldn’t be selected in re-draft leagues, but could be a priority waiver add if Jacobs misses time. Dillon is at most worth a flier in the last round of best ball drafts for Jacobs owners just to have insurance but won’t offer value for the most part.

Our consensus projections for Dillon in the 2024 season are 41 carries for 165 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. As well as 9 receptions, 62 yards, and 0 touchdowns.
