Ameer Abdullah's Fantasy Outlook For 2024

Ameer Abdullah finished his second season with the Raiders and, once again, was not given many game-time opportunities. He was only given 15 carries, producing 89 yards or 5.93 yards per carry. He got a little more work in the passing game, bringing in 19 receptions for 131 yards. He failed to bring in a single TD in both the air and on the ground.

In the 2023 season, he played all 17 games, and his best week had him only finishing as RB41. Last season, Josh Jacobs was the Raiders' top back by a long shot when healthy, which took away any major chances for Abdullah.

This year, Jacobs is gone, and now Abdullah will compete for snaps with Zamir White, Alexander Mattison, and rookie Dylan Laube. As of now, Abdullah is listed as the 3rd string on the depth chart but could find himself moving down behind Laube. Abdullah should not be rostered in almost all formats unless there is a substantial injury to multiple Raiders RBs.

Our consensus projections for Abdullah in the 2024 season are 9 carries for 67 yards 0 rushing touchdowns, and no receptions.
