Auburn Basketball Plane Turns Around After Players Started Fighting Each Other
There have been a lot of crazy airplane stories over the past few years, from a lady freaking out pointing at an imaginary person and screaming that person isn't real to people going after each other for now wearing masks during COVID, but there is a new story to add to this list.
The Auburn basketball team was flying to Houston to play the number four team in the country, the Houston Cougars, on Saturday, while players on the team started to horseplay with each other, which meant they were probably doing silly things like all men do from the ages to 18-23, but that wasn't what airplane personal thought.
According to Jeff Goodman, the plane was about 45 minutes en route when it decided to return to Auburn.
Front Office Sports stated: A pilot told Air Traffic Control, "We have many basketball players fighting."
There is a lot to take in with this story, but it most likely was a group of players doing dumb, immature things while the adults in the room thought there was actual fighting.
The players are at fault here, and the airplane personnel did everything right, turning that plane around because it's hard enough to fly a plane, but when you have 15+ crazy people doing stupid things, it makes it 100 times more complicated.
Auburn is supposed to get another airplane and make it in time for their 9:30 PM ET Tipoff.
