Best Bets For College Football Week Nine

Season Record (10-11, 47%)

#17 Boise State At UNLV

Betting Lines:

Money Line: Boise State (-166), UNLV (+138)

Spread: Boise State -3.5 (-105), UNLV +3.5 (-115)

Total: Over 65.5 (-106), Under 65.5 (-114)

Best Bets for College Football Week 9

Boise State is heading to Las Vegas this Friday to face a surging UNLV team in a crucial matchup for potential college football playoff spots. The Broncos are coming off a bye week, led by Heisman frontrunner Ashton Jeanty. He has been having a remarkable season, rushing for 1,248 yards and seventeen touchdowns, averaging 9.9 yards per carry over six games. On the other hand, wide receiver Ricky White has excelled since the quarterback change, recording 36 receptions for 488 yards and six touchdowns in the last four games. I believe the Rebels will be able to exploit a Broncos defense that has struggled with giving up big plays, while their rush defense can limit Ashton Jeanty to significantly fewer than his usual 208 yards per game.

Best Bet:

UNLV +3.5 (-115)

Nebraska At #4 Ohio State

Betting Lines:

Money Line: Ohio State (-4500), Nebraska (+1600)

Spread: Ohio State -25.5 (-110), Nebraska +25.5 (-110)

Total: Over 47.5 (-115), Under 47.5 (-105)

Best Bets for College Football Week 9

I recall seeing this matchup during the preseason, and I noted that Ohio State was coming off a bye week. I marked this as an ideal opportunity to support the Buckeyes. The situation looks even more promising now, especially after Indiana soundly defeated Nebraska, and their young quarterback, Dylan Raiola, has struggled, throwing four interceptions without a single touchdown in his last two games. Additionally, Ohio State has a strong track record, going 6-2 against the spread in the previous eight meetings with Nebraska. It’s also worth mentioning that Ryan Day is 44-0 in his career against unranked opponents at Ohio State.

Best Bet: Ohio State -25.5 (-110)

#8 LSU At #14 Texas A&M

Betting Lines:

Money Line: Texas A&M (-120), LSU (+100)

Spread: Texas A&M -1.5 (-110), LSU +1.5 (-110)

Total: Over 54.5 (-115), Under 54.5 (-105)

Best Bets for College Football Week 9

After Texas's loss to Georgia, only two teams in the SEC remain undefeated in conference play. Texas A&M has been a pleasant surprise under first-year head coach Mike Elko, and I believe he has long-term potential. However, this game seems likely to depend on which team can secure better quarterback play. I have more confidence in Garrett Nussmeier over Connor Weigman. I expect LSU to win this game in College Station, positioning themselves for a potential appearance in the SEC Championship.

Best Bet: LSU +1.5 (-110)
