Bet These NFL Teams To Win Week 2

After a thrilling opening week in the NFL, it is time to look towards the second week of the regular season. Some key matchups include Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars hosting Cleveland, first-overall pick Caleb Williams making his primetime debut, and the Packers exploring life without Jordan Love. With all 32 teams in action again, here are the picks for each game in Week 2.

Last Week Record: 12-4

LOCK OF THE WEEK:

The Chargers are a LOCK to defeat the Panthers

Los Angeles Chargers (-4.5) at Carolina Panthers, 1 p.m., CBS

The Chargers had a shaky first half against the Raiders last week, but Jim Harbaugh’s squad looked good in the second half. With an explosive performance from J.K. Dobbins on the ground and an improving defense, Los Angeles had a good start to Week 1.

The Bolts will now take on the Panthers, who had an abysmal start to the season in their 37-point loss to New Orleans. While it won’t take much for Carolina to improve from last week, there is no doubt that LA can run away with this early.

Score Prediction: Chargers 30, Panthers 10

UPSET OF THE WEEK:

Are the Colts on UPSET alert?

Indianapolis Colts at Green Bay Packers (+3.5), 1 p.m., Fox

With Jordan Love officially ruled out, former Titans quarterback Malik Willis is expected to start. This has led to many analysts believing Green Bay has no chance to win any games without their $55-million-dollar quarterback.

While the Colts looked good last week despite the loss, this is a winnable game. Jeff Hafley’s defense will need to play mistake-free football, and the run game will need to get going early.

The biggest concern for the Packer's defense will be stopping the Colts’ explosive run game after allowing Saquon Barkley to have his way last week. With the unpredictability of Anthony Richardson, the defense could cause turnovers like last week and allow coach Matt LaFleur to run his playbook. This could be the upset of the week.

Score Prediction: Packers 21, Colts 20

SUNDAY SLATE:

Sunday's picks

Las Vegas Raiders at Baltimore Ravens (-8.5), 1 p.m., CBS

The Baltimore Ravens fell in a close loss last week but were inches away from potentially winning the game. This time instead of the defending champs, it will be the Raiders. While Maxx Crosby and Las Vegas’ defense will keep it close, Lamar Jackson’s squad is by far the better team.

Score Prediction: Ravens 26, Raiders 10

New York Jets (-3.5) at Tennessee Titans, 1 p.m., CBS

The Jets were picked apart by the 49ers on both sides of the ball last week. Fortunately, there were still a lot of positives including Aaron Rodgers’ staying healthy and the offensive line looking not as bad. New York should shake off the rust against a Titans team that blew a 17-0 lead and struggled a lot on offense.

Score Prediction: Jets 24, Titans 16

PRIMETIME PICK:

Texans host Chicago on SNF

Chicago Bears at Houston Texans, 8:20 p.m., NBC

The Texans held off Indy last week in a fun offensive battle. Meanwhile, Chicago’s defense was strong against the Titans, but the offense has questions to answer. In the end, CJ Stroud will take a close victory over Caleb Williams.

Score Prediction: Texans 30, Bears 26

THE REST OF THE SCHEDULE:

Buffalo Bills 31 at Miami Dolphins 24, 8:15 p.m., Prime Video (this pick made was before TNF)

New Orleans Saints 28 at Dallas Cowboys 38, 1 p.m., Fox

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31 at Detroit Lions 34, 1 p.m., Fox

Cleveland Browns 17 at Jacksonville Jaguars 23, 1 p.m., CBS

San Francisco 49ers 32 at Minnesota Vikings 23, 1 p.m., CBS

Seattle Seahawks 23 at New England Patriots 20, 1 p.m., Fox

New York Giants 16 at Washington Commanders 20, 1 p.m., Fox

Los Angeles Rams 33 at Arizona Cardinals 28, 4:05 p.m., Fox

Pittsburgh Steelers 18 at Denver Broncos 15, 4:25 p.m., CBS

Cincinnati Bengals 23 at Kansas City Chiefs 26, 4:25 p.m., CBS

Atlanta Falcons 16 at Philadelphia Eagles 27, 8:15 p.m., ESPN, ESPN2
