BREAKING: Bears Trade For Star Wide Receiver
The Los Angeles Chargers have traded Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan Allen to the Chicago Bears for a fourth-round pick (110), according to Ian Rapport.
Keenan Allen was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2013 NFL Draft and has had an impressive career with 904 receptions, 10,530 yards, and 59 touchdowns.
It's no surprise that the Chicago Bears made a move for Allen, as their new wide receiver coach, Chris Beatty, spent the last three seasons coaching him on the Chargers.
What Could This Mean Moving Forward?
The consensus belief around the league was that Justin Fields would be moved, and the Bears would select Caleb Williams with the first overall pick.
If that holds it's the best situation a rookie quarterback has ever walked into. Caleb Williams will be throwing D.J. Moore, Keenan Allen, Cole Kmet, and Gerald Everett and has a young running back room to lean on.
The Chicago Bears have only four picks left in the draft after trading their fourth-round pick to the Chargers. Based on this, I believe that the Bears will likely trade down from their current ninth pick unless either Malik Nabers or Rome Odunze unexpectedly falls down the board and is available at that pick.
