Breaking: Duke's Team Captain Has Found A New Home In 2024, And It Was A Shock To Many

Duke is facing a challenging offseason, with a significant number of their players, including point guard Jeremy Roach, deciding to enter the transfer portal.

Roach spent four seasons at Duke and was a significant part of the 2022 Final Four team, the last former Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski ever coached.

Many were shocked when Roach entered the portal. After being in college for the last four years, it seemed like he would enter the NBA Draft, but Roach decided to use his COVID-19 season elsewhere. On Sunday, he announced where he would play basketball in 2024.

Roach Is Heading To Baylor

According to reports, Roach will be heading to Baylor to play for head coach Scott Drew. Baylor has been one of the best teams in college basketball for the last few seasons and even brought home the title in 2021.

Drew was a big name to land the Kentucky coaching job a few weeks ago, but he decided he wanted to stay at Baylor, which is an excellent choice.

Roach is a great player and leader and was even voted captain among his Duke teammates. Many will miss him at Duke, but Baylor is getting a great basketball player and an even better person, so I wish Roach all the best at Baylor.
