Buccaneers Star Player Has No Interest In Joining Another Team
Free agency is right around the corner, and the Buccaneers will have a lot of decisions to make. A big one is what they do with soon-to-be free-agent wide receiver Mike Evans and a minor decision has to be made with linebacker Lavonte David.
Good news, Buccaneers fans; it sounds like David isn't going anywhere and wants to be a Buccaneer for the rest of his career.
David was being interviewed this week on Tampa Sports Radio 95.3 WDAE and had this to say about returning to Tampa.
David will only not be on the Buccaneers next season if the team doesn't want him back.
David has been in Tampa for the past 12 seasons and was a huge reason why the Buccaneers brought home the Super Bowl in February of 2021.
David was the leader of the defense that season, and I know quarterback Tom Brady got a lot of love, but you can always remember David's role with the team.
David is 34 years old, so he might only have one or two more years left, and it sure seems like he will never put on another team's helmet besides the one with the Buccaneers logo on it.
It's neat to see a player want to stay on one team for an entire career since we hardly see it anymore.
