Chicago Bears 2024 Record Prediction
The 2024 NFL season is just weeks away which means that it is time to make some record predictions! Today’s article will focus on the Chicago Bears, members of the National Football Conference (NFC) North. The Bears are eager to kick off their 105th season on September 8th as they open up the season at home against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday afternoon. How many games will Chicago win in 2024?
Last Season Recap
The Chicago Bears entered the 2023 NFL season looking to be a serious playoff contender. After winning three games the season before, the expectation was that trading for Panthers wide receiver D.J. Moore would help quarterback Justin Fields breakout. Although this strategy worked out with Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts, it did not in the Windy City.
Although the Bears suffered with injuries throughout the season, the team did win seven games. This included three losses after blowing double-digit fourth quarter leads. Chicago also lost five one-score games as well proving that the team could have been much better if a few things went the right way.
Big Expectations For Caleb Williams
The Chicago Bears had high expectations after drafting Justin Fields in the first-round of the 2021 NFL Draft. But after zero playoff appearances and failed expectation, the team has moved on from the former Buckeye. After trading Fields, the Bears turned a page after drafting USC quarterback Caleb Williams first-overall back in April.
Williams is one of the most hyped quarterbacks to ever come out of college. Compared to Patrick Mahomes, the former Trojan will feel the pressure in his first year in the Windy City. Fortunately, Chicago has provided Williams with one of the best situations for a first-overall pick including three talented receivers, a flashy running-back, and an improved offensive line.

Record Prediction
While it may be hard to temper expectations this season, it makes a lot of sense for the Bears to win nine games and compete for a playoff spot. The team squeaked out seven wins in 2023 and it is realistic to win at least two more this season. Even if Williams is half as good as advertised, Chicago will be in a positive spot following the 2024 season.
With ten games against teams that missed the postseason last year, it is reasonable for the Bears to win more than half of those games. After blowing a big lead against the division champion Detroit Lions, it is realistic for Chicago to steal a win from their big rival as well. 9-8 is a good stepping stone into what could be a great few years ahead in the Windy City.
NFC North Standings
Detroit Lions: 12-5 z
Green Bay Packers: 11-6 x
Chicago Bears 9-8 x
Minnesota Vikings 6-11
