Chicago Bears Trade Down In This Seven Round Mock Draft
The Chicago Bears have officially landed the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. From the blockbuster trade with the Carolina Panthers where Chicago traded down from the #1 Pick last year, the Bears will now have the #1 Pick again. Except this time it isn't their own.
The franchise looks to be headed in the right direction as the Bears have won 4 out of their 5 last games and quarterback Justin Fields has looked the part of a franchise quarterback. What was once a consensus thought the Bears would go quarterback with their No. 1 pick Field's recent impressive play has given the Bears an interesting debate in the offseason. With all that being said let's get into the mock draft.

First Round
Bears Receive:
2024 (1st Round Pick 3, 2nd Round Pick 34, & 3rd Round Pick 68)
2025 (1st Round & 2nd Round Pick)
Patriots Receive:
2024 (1st Round Pick 1)
With how Justin Fields has performed in the second half of the season it would be a mistake to trade him. The locker room loves him, and the city of Chicago loves him. I was at the game vs the Falcons where "We Want Fields" chants rang throughout Soldier Field.
Pick Three: Marvin Harrison Jr, WR, Ohio State
Not only do the Bears get the best player in the entire draft but they also get a whole divvy of picks setting up an extremely bright future for the Bears.
A wide receiver duo of D.J. Moore with Marvin Harrison Jr gives the Bears a top 5 wide receiver duo in the NFL.
Pick 10: Dallas Turner, Edge, Alabama
The Bears adding Montez Sweat to this defense has completely transformed this unit and has made them a top 5 unit.
With Yannick Ngakoue entering free agency after this season the Bears will need another pass rusher across from Sweat.
Enter Dallas Turner who has been one of the best pass rushers in college football this season. Turner has a 6'4 250 250-pound frame who is strong in the run game and can put his hands in the dirt or rush the passer off the edge.
Second Round
Pick 34: Sedrick Van Pran, C, Georgia
The Bears' one weak spot on the offensive line is center Lucas Patrick. He doesn't get a push in the run game and Justin Fields never can step up in the pocket and step into his throws.
Van Pran has been the starter for the Dawgs since 2021 and has been a fixture of their offensive line since and hasn't missed a game for Georgia. He's played over 821 snaps and has allowed only 8 quarterback hurries, no quarterback hits, and no sacks.
Third Round
Pick 68: Javon Bullard, S, Georgia
This pick is more of a move for the future as Eddie Jackson's time in Chicago seems to be dwindling. Bullard is a big hitter from the free safety spot who reads coverages well and has the versatility to play corner as well.
Pick 76: McKinnley Jackson, DT, Texas A&M
Rookie defensive tackles Gervon Dexter Sr and Zacch Pickens have started to come into their own as of late. You can never have too many rotational defensive tackles to rotate in and out. Johnson is a zero tech who is a monster in the run game and was a disruptor in the best conference in the country.
Fourth Round
Pick 107: Blake Corum, RB, Michigan
Running back is an underrated need on the roster for the Bears. Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson will still be on the roster but Donte Foreman is a free agent after this year and I don't see the Bears re-signing him.
Adding Blake Corum to an offense that lacks explosive playmakers would be exactly what this team is missing. Corum has been a nightmare to stop all year as he amassed 1,228 all-purpose yards and 26 all-purpose touchdowns. Corum can do it all and is an extremely well-rounded football player.
Pick 122: Ben Sinnott, TE, Kansas State
Cole Kmet signed a 4 year, $50M extension but outside of him, the tight end room is nonexistent. Robert Tonyan is a free agent after this season, and Marcedes Lewis is 39 years old.
Sinnott has experience lined up as a traditional tight end and in the slot. He has strong hands and can make catches in traffic. He has proven to be a reliable pass catcher and blocker in the run game as a TE2 behind Cole Kmet.
Fifth Round
Pick 138: Brenden Rice, WR, USC
Rice has a prototypical wide receiver frame at 6'3, 210 pounds. Rice has been electric ever since he transferred to USC setting career highs in receptions (45), yards (791), and touchdowns (12) in 2023.
He can be an immediate role player within the Bears' wide receiver room and serve as an immediate weapon in the special teams game and has 22 attempts for 555 yards averaging 25 yards per return.

As a die-hard Bears fan if the 2024 NFL Draft panned out like this for my Bears I would be over the moon. You address all your major needs and add explosive playmakers on both sides of the ball. This team would be ready to compete for the NFC North and the Super Bowl.
