Chris Evans Is Not Fantasy's Captain America

After three seasons in the NFL, Evans has lacked playing time, only seeing 38 total snaps on offense. So far in his career, he has been stuck on the backend of the depth chart, with Joe Mixon leading the pack for the Bengals. Mixon is no longer with the team, which may result in a more committee-based backfield for the team.

However, Chase Brown and Zack Moss will likely see the majority of the carries, which could leave Evans in the same position he’s been in his entire career. This offseason, he will be competing with Trayveon Williams to take the third-string job.

The Bengals also brought in two undrafted rookies this offseason, and if either of them impresses, Evans could leave Cincinnati. No matter what situation Evans finds himself in this offseason, it won’t be a good one, and he should not be rostered this season.

Our consensus projections for Evans in the 2024 season are 7 carries for 69 yards and 1  rushing touchdown. As well as 1 reception, 6 yards, and 0 touchdowns.
