Clyde Edwards-Helaire Is An All Time Fantasy Bust
Clyde Edwards Helaire was once seen as a potential every down back for the Kansas City Chiefs. However, due to injuries and the emergence of Isaiah Pacheco, he has seemingly fallen out of favor. He has career lows through his stat line as a rusher, having 223 rushing yards, 1 touchdown, 3.2 rushing yards per attempt, and 70 rushing attempts.
All in all, Edwards-Helaire had a really down 2023/24 season. However, he is an intriguing option in fantasy. Not only is he a cuff option if Pacheco gets hurt, but in ppr, he can be slightly intriguing as a pass catcher because he is paired with Patrick Mahomes.
Last season, Edwards-Helaire was targeted 22 times and made 17 receptions for 188 receiving yards and a touchdown. Although the 2024 season might be his final opportunity to shine as a Chief, he could be worth considering for fantasy football with a late-round pick in some dynasty formats.
