College Football Week Two Best Bets
After a great start in week one of the college football season, week two has multiple high-marquee games. Texas travels to Ann Arbor to play the defending champions, which will have playoff implications. The Tennessee Volunteers are led by budding superstar quarterback Nico Iamaleava, who is headed to a neutral site matchup vs. the NC State Wolfpack and quarterback Grayson McCall. With all that being said, let's get into the picks.

College Football Week Two Best Bets
#3 Texas (-7.5) At Michigan
Game Information
Saturday, 11 AM CT, Michigan Stadium, Ann Arbor, Michigan
Money line: Texas (-310), Michigan (+245)
Total: 42.5 (-110)
Betting Trends
Texas is 0-5 ATS in their last five games against an opponent in the Big Ten conference.
Texas At Michigan Prediction
These teams' performances couldn't have been further apart in week one. Texas scored at will against Colorado State and looked incredible defensively, allowing zero points. On the other side, the Michigan offense struggled to find any consistency, forcing the Michigan defense to close the game themselves with an 86-yard pick-six, and so, based on that logic, you should lay the points with the Longhorns. Wrong. This Michigan defense is good enough to keep this game close, especially in Ann Arbor.
Score Prediction
Texas, 24-19
Best Bet
Michigan +7.5
Arkansas At #16 Oklahoma State (-7.5)
Game Information
Saturday, 11 AM CT, Boone Pickens Stadium, Stillwater, Oklahoma
Money line: Oklahoma State (-310), Arkansas (+245)
Total: 62.5 (-110)
Betting Trends
Oklahoma State is 26-17-1 ATS as a favorite over the past five seasons.
Arkansas At Oklahoma State Prediction
Whenever I saw this line, I had to do a double take because Oklahoma State only getting 7.5 at home is crazy. They have the most experienced and best offensive line, the nation's top running back in Ollie Gordon II, and a veteran quarterback in Alan Bowman. Give me the Pokes and the points.
Score Prediction
Oklahoma State, 42-28
Best Bet
Oklahoma State -7.5
#17 Kansas State (-9.5) At Tulane
Game Information
Saturday, 11 AM CT, Yulman Stadium, New Orleans, Louisiana
Moneyline: Kansas State (-375), Tulane (+290)
Total: 47.5 (-110)
Betting Trends
Kansas State are 2-7 ATS in their last nine games against an American Athletic Conference conference opponent.
Kansas State At Tulane Prediction
Kansas State is coming off a 41-6 win over UT Martin and will now play the Tulane Green Waves in New Orleans. This game is a rematch of two years ago when Tulane beat Kansas State 17-10 in Manhattan, Kansas. I believe the Green Wave offense, led by quarterback Darian Mensah, will make enough plays and keep them in this game. Kansas State wins, but Tulane covers in a closer game than people expect.
Score Prediction
Kansas State, 27-24
Best Bet
Tulane +9.5
Baylor At #11 Utah (-14.5)
Game Information
Saturday, 2:30 PM CT, Rice-Eccles Stadium, Salt Lake City, Utah
Moneyline: Utah (-710), Baylor (+490)
Total: 55.5 (-110)
Betting Trends
Baylor hit the over in eight of their last nine away games.
Baylor At Utah Prediction
The Utes' offense struggled at times last year, but those days seem to be behind them after Cam Rising came back from injury and looked better than ever, passing for five touchdowns and 254 yards on fifteen pass attempts. Baylor also looked potent offensively in week one, scoring 45 points and amassing 433 total yards. I have questions about the Baylor defense, which ranked 122nd in explosive rate last season, stopping this offense. I think we'll see points here from both sides.
Score Prediction
Utah, 35-25
Best Bet
Over 55.5
Iowa State At #21 Iowa (-2.5)
Game Information
Saturday, 2:30 PM CT, Kinnick Stadium, Iowa City, Iowa
Moneyline: Iowa (-152), Iowa State (+126)
Total: 35.5 (-110)
Betting Trends
The total has gone under in eight of Iowa State's last eight games when playing on the road against Iowa.
Iowa State At Iowa Prediction
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The Iowa unders have been automatic for a long time, especially when they play Iowa State. Don't overthink it. Take the under.
Score Prediction
Iowa, 17-10
Best Bet
Under 35.5
South Carolina At Kentucky (-8.5)
Game Information
Saturday, 2:30 PM CT, Kroger Field, Lexington, Kentucky
Moneyline: Kentucky (-345), South Carolina (+270)
Total: 42.5 (-110)
Betting Trends
South Carolina is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games against Kentucky.
South Carolina at Kentucky Prediction
This bet is one of my favorites of the week. The South Carolina offensive line couldn't get a push against the Old Dominion defensive line, and I'm supposed to believe they'll be able to get a push against a much better defensive line led by a potential first-round pick, Deone Walker.
Score Prediction
Kentucky, 28-17
Best Bet
Kentucky -8.5
California At Auburn (-12.5)
Game Information
Saturday, 2:30 PM CT, Jordan-Hare Stadium, Auburn, Alabama
Moneyline: Auburn (-430), California (+330)
Total: 53.5 (-110)
Betting Trends
Auburn are 7-3 ATS in their last ten games at home.
California At Auburn Prediction
Auburn is coming off a 73-3 win over Alabama A&M, earning the 800th win. Now, they get their first real test off the season when the California Golden Bears come to town after Auburn narrowly escaped with a win in Berkley last season. I believe in what Hugh Freeze has going on in his second season on the Plains, and I think we will see how much this team has improved come Saturday. I believe Auburn makes a statement and covers this spread at home.
Best Bet
Auburn -12.5
Game Information
Saturday, 6:30 PM CT, Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, North Carolina
Moneyline: Tennessee (-375), NC State (+290)
Total: 60.5 (-110)
Betting Trends
The total has gone over in five of Tennessee's last seven games played on a Saturday.
Tennessee at NC State Prediction
These two teams are coming off very different week-one experiences, with Tennessee blowing out Chattanooga 69-3 and NC State only up three at the start of the fourth against Western Carolina. What they both had in common, though, was that both offenses had strong outings. Nico Iamaleava already looked like the part of a superstar quarterback who was leading Josh Heupel's high-powered offense. For the Wolfpack offensively, they have veteran quarterback Grayson McCall and wide receiver Kevin Concepcion, who can take advantage of a Vols secondary with questions. I think this game is going to have tons of points.
Score Prediction
Tennessee, 42-38
Best Bet
Over 60.5 (-110)
Colorado At Nebraska (-7)
Game Information
Saturday, 6:30 PM CT, Memorial Stadium, Lincoln, Nebraska
Moneyline: Nebraska (-220), Colorado (+180)
Total: 55.5 (-110)
Betting Trends
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Nebraska's last 5 games at home.
Colorado At Nebraska Prediction
Outside of Texas traveling to Ann Arbor to face the defending national champions, this is the game I'm most looking forward to. Colorado has won three in a row but the oddsmaker expects that to change with the Cornhuskers being favored by a touchdown. I'm not as confident in picking a side here as I am in the total. I love the under in this game.
Best Bet
Under 55.5 (-110)
Final Thoughts
So to recap, the plays this week are as follows.
Michigan +7.5
Oklahoma State -7.5
Tulane +9.5
Baylor/Utah Over 55.5
Iowa State/Iowa Under 35.5
Kentucky -8.5
Auburn -12.5
Tennessee/NC State Over 60.5
Colorado/Nebraska Under 55.5
