Could Tennessee Titans Add Superstar Wide Receiver?
The Tennessee Titans are entering a huge rebuild this offseason led by general manager Ron Carthon and new head coach Brian Callahan. The team finished 6-11 last season but has a promising future under quarterback Will Levis and some young stars including defensive stars Jeffery Simmons and Roger McCreary. The team also has a lot of cap space as well and could look into improving the receiving room, which has had its struggles outside DeAndre Hopkins this past season.
Titans Should Sign Bengals' Tee Higgins
The Titans could bring in a familiar face for Callahan by signing receiver Tee Higgins in free agency. The 25-year-old was drafted in the second-round in 2020 by the Cincinnati Bengals and has been a star ever since. He has posted 900+ receiving yards in his first three seasons and had a career-low 656 yards due to missing 5 games, but still added five touchdowns. But outside of his rookie season, Higgins has been a number-two receiver behind Ja'Marr Chase and could blossom being the go-to guy in Nashville.
Higgins Becomes Levis' Number-One Target
If the Titans sign Higgins, it gives them an immediate upgrade in the receiving room and allows Will Levis to develop. With Higgins paired with Hopkins and former first-round pick Treylon Burks, Tennessee will be in good hands for the future. While it's very likely Cincinnati gives Higgins the franchise-tag, the Titans should sign him quickly if he does not as he will help fill the void left when AJ Brown was traded away. It will be a big off-season for Ron Carthon, but adding a big name wide receiver like Higgins should be a top priority.
