The Washington Commanders have a big season ahead. The team drafted franchise quarterback Jayden Daniels second-overall in the 2024 NFL Draft and improved its offensive line in free agency as well. Although the team has star wide receiver Terry McLaurin, the team could be in the market for a wide receiver.

Early this year, wide receiver Curtis Samuel departed in free agency for the Buffalo Bills. With uncertainty at the number-two wide receiver position, could the Washington Commanders go after Carolina Panthers wide receiver Terrance Marshall Jr?

Could Washington Commanders Trade For Terrance Marshall Jr?

According to Bleacher Report, the Washington Commanders should make a deal with the Carolina Panthers for Terrance Marshall Jr. In the website's recent article, "5 Trades NFL Teams Should Consider To Bolster Offense Around Rookie QBs", author Alex Kay suggested that the team should swap a seventh-round pick for the former LSU star.

Despite being a second-round pick in 2021, Marshall has not lived up to the value of being selected that high. The 23-year-old has 64 receptions for 767 yards and one touchdown in three seasons in the NFL. Last season, he only had 19 receptions for 139 yards and started to fall down the depth chart.

A trade could give a fresh start for both sides. Marshall gets to catch passes from another LSU star in Jayden Daniels and the Panthers move on.
