Demarcus Robinson: A Late-Round Fantasy Football Steal?
Demarcus Robinson hasn't been the most outstanding player throughout his career, but has been a decent depth piece. Last season, Robinson was targeted 39 times and made 26 receptions for 371 yards, along with 4 touchdowns.
Between Weeks 1-12, Robinson was a ghost who was barely involved. Then, from Weeks 13-17, he averaged 15.04 fantasy points per game; he was a consistent flex play even with Kupp and Puka out on the field. During this stretch, he scored a touchdown in four straight weeks.
It's the usual type of season Demarcus Robinson has in the NFL. He has some fantasy intrigue as he had a solid connection to Matthew Stafford last season. However, he likely will be a matchup-dependent player in fantasy as long as Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua are healthy.
There are much better options, but if you're in a deep league or want a cuff option if you drafted Nacua or Kupp earlier in the draft, taking Robinson in the later rounds of the draft would be a solid strategy because he is practically free in every format.
Our consensus projections for Robinson in the 2024 season would be: 43 receptions, 538 yards, 4 touchdowns.
