Florida Dominates LSU In Game Two Of The College World Series

OHAMA, NEB - To say this one was a blowout would be an understatement. After the second inning, it was all Florida, and they never looked back.

LSU did start strong up to the top of the third leading three to one with four runs, six hits, and zero errors. At first glance, it looked like they were going to build on their game-one momentum.

It all started after Florida Sophomore Ty Evans sent a home run out of left field sending Gator's teammates - Jac Caglianone, Josh Rivera, and Luke Heyman to score putting the Gators up seven to four.

Then the sixth inning came around and the Gators' stretched the lead to thirteen to three with five runs, four hits, and two home runs. The two home runs came back to back by Outfielder Wyatt Langford and Pitcher/First-Baseman Jac Caglianone.

In the next three innings, Florida scored eleven more runs and made the game a twenty-four to four game. The scoring frenzy from the sixth inning to the ninth inning broken down equaled twelve runs, thirteen hits, and only three errors. Essentially, Florida played some of the most aggressive and offensive-minded baseball seen on this stage in quite some time.

The Gators had a trio of hitters in Cade Kurland, Wyatt Langford, and Jac Caglianone. Langford led the trio with five at-bats, four runs, five home runs, and six runs batted in.

In the dominating win, Florida has now forced an interesting game three for the National Championship. However, those 24 runs are, at the end of the day, worth only one win. Will Florida build on this? Will LSU show its dominance in yet another sport? Game three in Omaha, Nebraska is set for six PM and will be streamed on ESPN and ESPN+.
