Florida Gators Men's Basketball Team Remains Undefeated

The Florida Gators are a perfect 5-0 after an 84-60 win over the Florida A&M Rattlers on Tuesday night. Here's a quick overview of the game and what you can expect next for the Gators men's basketball team.


Gators Vs. Rattlers Overview

Eight different Gators scored points in this game. Will Richard led the way, scoring 20 while recording three rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Walter Clayton Jr. added 17 points in 34 minutes played, and Alijah Martin made 7-of-8 free throw attempts to end with 14 points. Thomas Haugh scored 12 coming off the bench.

Florida A&M's Sterling Young led the squad with 12 points despite coming off the bench. Jamine Charles had a game-high 12 rebounds. Florida A&M has had a difficult start to the 2024 season. They're now 0-4 with losses to TCU, SMU, Maryland, and Florida. Next up for the Rattlers: a home match against the Trinity Baptist Eagles.


Next Up For The Gators

Florida is one of the ten undefeated teams in the SEC and is 21st in the Top 25 rankings. The Gators play again on Friday night when they host Southern Illinois. The following five matchups after that game look like this: vs. Wake Forest (November 28), vs. Virginia (December 4), vs. Arizona State (December 14), vs. North Carolina (December 17), and vs. North Florida on December 21.


The first SEC opponent for Florida is a road game against Kentucky on January 4. The Gators are currently +6000 to win the National Championship.
