Former First Round Pick Returns To Vikings
A former Vikings first-round pick is reportedly heading back to Minnesota. 31-year-old Anthony Barr has signed with the team's practice squad, per Ben Goessling of the Star Tribune.

Career History
Barr was taken ninth overall in the 2014 NFL Draft after four seasons with UCLA. He played eight seasons with the Vikings between 2014 and 2021.
During those eight years, Barr started 98 games and recorded 17.5 sacks, five interceptions and 495 combined tackles. He was also selected to the Pro Bowl in four straight seasons (2015-2018).
Barr became a free agent at the end of the 2021 season and signed with the Dallas Cowboys. In 14 games with Dallas, the former Bruin made 58 combined tackles, two tackles for loss and recorded four quarterback hits.
Return To The Vikings
The Barr signing comes after a recent injury to starting linebacker Jordan Hicks, which required a trip to the hospital.
I don't expect to see the 31-year-old in action anytime soon, but he does bring a ton of experience to a linebacker room, which could use a veteran if Hicks is going to miss an extended amount of time.
Looking Ahead
Hicks is expected to miss this weekend's primetime matchup against the Denver Broncos, per head coach Kevin O'Connell. O'Connell also mentioned cornerback Akayleb Evans is day-to-day, and starting running back Alexander Mattison is in concussion protocol.
Minnesota is looking for their sixth straight victory and currently holds the seventh and final wild-card playoff spot in the NFC.
At the time of publishing, the Vikings are one-and-a-half-point underdogs and +105 on the money line for their Week 11 game. The total is 43.5, the lowest of the three primetime games this week.
