Future NFL Hall Of Famer Hints Coming Out Of Retirement

It is no secret that J.J. Watt is among the best defensive players in NFL history. The 35-year-old played 12 seasons in the National Football League for the Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals, where he wreaked havoc against some of the league's top offensive lines. While the future Hall Of Famer has been retired since the end of the 2022 NFL season, he hints that he could return to the NFL.

J.J. Watt Is Considering An NFL Return If Needed

J.J. Watt spoke to reporters this week and hinted at a possible NFL comeback. The former Texans star said that he was training his body for a return to the league if Houston needed him to come back late in the season for a deep playoff run. With the Texans having high expectations and featuring a roster that's arguably better than any he has been part of, it would be great to see him get one more shot at a Super Bowl.

In this case, Watt would only come out of retirement if the Texans, which have one of the league's top defensive lines, were banged up and needed some help. So, while there is a chance that this could happen, don't be surprised if Watt stays retired. But the league is better with J.J. Watt in it, and it would be awesome to see him make his return, even if it's for a couple of games.

J.J. Watt Is A Hall Of Famer On And Off The Field

J.J. Watt is a great player but an even better person. The founder of the Justin J. Watt Foundation, Watt has hosted many charity events to raise money for children to get involved in athletics. He has also supported those affected by the Sandy Hook and Santa Fe school shootings and played a big part in Houston's recovery from Hurricane Harvey in 2017.

The future Hall Of Famer has 114.5 career sacks, 27 forced fumbles, two interceptions, and three defensive touchdowns. Watt was the 2017 Walter Payton Man of the Year, a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, named to the Pro Bowl five times, and led the league in sacks twice in his career.
