George Kittle Is Undervalued For Fantasy In 2024
Somewhat quietly, Kittle has been the most consistent season-long producer at TE over the last three seasons, not named Travis Kelce. He finished as the TE5, TE3, and TE4 in both PPR and Half-PPR. He led all TEs in receiving yards in 2024 with 1,020 yards. However, Kittle has become known for substantial spike weeks and has some weeks where it seems he is invisible in a 49ers offense with many mouths to feed.
George Kittle did have 6 weeks last season where he was TE27 or worse, offsetting that he did have three weeks where he was TE1 and another four weeks where he was TE5 or better. While he is certainly a boom-or-bust player, the ability to provide week-winning performances in such a potent offense is hard to ignore. The situation with Brandon Aiyuk could offer a considerable spike in target share and weekly consistency if Aiyuk is moved before the season starts.
Also, with Christian McCaffrey another year older, coming off of a huge usage season, and Brock Purdy’s continued ascension, the 49ers offense could transition to a more pass-heavy approach. The value is there with Kittle going off the board on average as the TE8 right now in the mid to late 6th round.
Our consensus projections for Kittle in the 2024 season are 61 receptions, 905 yards, and 6 touchdowns.
