How To Watch/Stream Patriots Vs. Steelers 9/18: A Comprehensive Guide

As usual, there are plenty of different ways to watch the game for viewers of all types. Here’s an updated, compiled list of all of the different ways you can get in on the action for today’s game between the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Today, the New England Patriots roll into the horribly-named Acrisure Stadium located within the North Shore of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Patriots are going into Pittsburgh with a record of 0-1 after a tough and somewhat underwhelming loss against their division rival, the Miami Dolphins. The Steelers will be defending their home turf at 1-0, with a week one victory in their pockets, after barely eking out an overtime win against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The New England Patriots are 4-1 in their last five games against the Steelers, dating back to 2016. The most recent game between the two teams was held on September 8th, 2019 with a final score of New England 33, Pittsburgh 3. I was at that game and have fond memories of that day. It was the season opener, so there was a small ceremony unveiling the sixth Patriots Super Bowl banner commemorating their hard-fought Super Bowl victory against the Los Angeles Rams earlier that year. Good times.

Patriots @ Steelers

This is one of the most important early-season games I can remember in recent history. Concerning teams that start the season 0-2, the last time one made the playoffs was back in 2018. If the Patriots lose and start 0-2, there’s a good chance we miss the playoffs this season. Furthermore, from a momentum perspective, the team needs to evolve from a poor showing in week one to gain some traction this week.

However, if we manage to stand tall and achieve a victory against the Steelers this week, the Patriots will be in decent shape to put together a good season and possibly even make a run deep into the playoffs. The ceiling is still incredibly high for now. If we lose this game it will be significantly lowered, so it’s safe to say today’s game is going to be very exciting and probably also a little stressful. Go Pats!
